Here it is, Edyta Sitar's (Laundry Basket Quilts)new book, "Friendship Triangles". Guess who has an autographed copy to give away? You can't even buy it yet.
I am at Widewater Retreat Center in Liberty Center, OH for the weekend. We are having a ball but I don't have my pix from Houston with me. I'd love to show you the picture of Edyta in Houston. She was her usual lovely self sharing about her new book. She recommends doing triangle exchanges and she has paper templates out so every one's triangles will the the same size. I love this idea.
To get your name in the hat to win this book, you need to leave a comment for one entry. If you are a follower you get two entries. If you blog about this giveaway you get three entries. Everyone who purchases from IHAN website gets 5 entries. You only need to leave one comment and tell me the number of entries you have. In your comment I want to hear why you want to win this book. Any comments without the "why" will not be counted so please leave the reason you want to win this book :) The deadline for entries is Monday, Oct. 19th at 12:00PM CMT. Edited:...don't shoot me....the deadline is Wed. Oct. 21st at noon. I made a mistake...my first.
I was fortunate enough to hear Edyta speak at the Gathering of Quilters in Toledo, OH. Her lecture was excellent and informative. I really like her patterns so I treated myself to her calendar while in Houston. I figured if I were going to give away her book I should have something to keep for myself. I could kick myself because I did not remember to ask for it to be autographed too....schucks...next time. The calender has two free patterns too!!! If you want to treat yourself to this beautiful calendar....click here :)
Having fun at retreat Smiles, Kelly
My reason why I would love to add this book to my library is because I have a love affair with triangles and have so many in my scrap drawers that need to be used up. I have 1 comment for blogging, and tow for being a follower.
ReplyDeleteWhy I want this book? I like Edyta's work...she gave a program a our guild several years ago. I also seen her quilts at The Airing of the Quilts in Tunckannok, Pa a couple of Saturdays ago. Now you know WHY I would like to win her book.

ReplyDeleteI would so love to win this new book because I have her other book Hop To It and absolutely love it. I also love working with triangles and love to see how they move and shift the design just by one rotation of a triangle! Please put me in for 6 chances: I am commenting here and telling you why, I am a follower and I have blogged about your giveaway on my blog this evening! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI would so very very much love to win!
I would love to win this because I am a self taught quilter and I quilt "by eye" (I design my patterns by looking at photos of finished quilts) so I've never read a book with quilting instructions or tried to use a pattern. I think it would be fun, and I might learn a lot :)
ReplyDeleteI only have one entry.
Oh wow! Why would I want to win this book?? It's because I would probably make every single quilt she's designed. What a great giveaway. Thanks for entering me.
ReplyDeleteAnd you know I am already a follower :-)
ReplyDeletewhy, because the quilt on the cover looks challenging and I like to challenge myself to work outside my comfort zone.
ReplyDeleteI already blogged about it, I'm hoping no more people join it!, LOL, I have 3 more entries, I have 6 entries now, yipeeeeeeeee!, other of the reasons I'd like to win the book it's: I don't have any quilting book or quilting magazine yet, it would be my first one, I have the quilting bug and I'm sure I'd make every pattern showed there, this is the link: http://arlette0521.blogspot.com/2009/10/go-to-i-have-notion-and-youll-find-cool.html

Whew! I'm so glad I came back and had another look. I thought I had missed the deadline. Please include me in your drawing. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI have a rather unique reason for wanting this book. You see, I am a Cruciverbalist and I just loooooooovvvve patterns. What's that, you ask? What is a Cruciverbalist? Why, that is someone who creates word puzzles... you know, crosswords and the like.
If I owned this book, not only would I use it to try and create quilts, but it would be used many times to help in my creation of word puzzles, as well. And I would be more than happy to send you an example.
Thanks for having this great drawing. ~ Yaya
