IHAN's 30 Days of Giveaways
Anniversary Celebration Day 9
If you have never used Texture Magic before you are in for real surprise. I can't think of a more appropriate product to follow the V100 Digital Velocity Iron (aka Steamy McDreamy) than Texture Magic!!!
Look at this beautiful journal cover made by Bridget Wiseman that is being shown on Mother Superior's Blog. I think it absolutely beautiful. I want to open my bag and pull out a notebook that looks this beautiful, don't you?
Texture Magic gives any fabric project added dimension and texture. All you have to do is put Texture Magic on the wrong side of your fabric and stitch it down. You can have some fun with how you stitch it down because that will make a difference in how it turns out. Once it is stitched down....you steam it. Did someone say steam? If you are the lucky winner of the V100 Iron....you'll have absolutely no problem with this one :) The Texture Magic shrinks up and so does the fabric. You get a really cool texture that can be used in clothing, quilts, stuffed animals, home decor....the sky is the limit. (It can be used on Silks-oh boy....and we're giving away silk too!!!)
Watch Patsy Thompson's tutorial here....this video shows you just how to use Texture Magic. There are two more videos of Patsy working with Texture Magic. They are on Superior Threads website and you can click here to view them.
Speaking of Superior Threads website, you may want to spend some time there looking at all the incredible information they have on their site. Bob Purcell offers a "School of Threadology" and there are Reference guides, a Gallery, and an Eduction Index that covers information about bobbins and needles etc. There is so much more to see so you might want to sign up for their Newsletter so you can on top of all the news.
"Patterns by Annie" offers several patterns that use Texture Magic. We will be giving away one of Annie's Patterns along with a package of Texture Magic in a future post....stay tuned:)
Do you want to know how you can have a package of Texture Magic sent to the address of your choice? All you need to do is leave a comment below sharing with us what project you have that could be enhanced using Texture Magic.
For extra entries, please send photos of projects you have made with Texture Magic to IWantToWinAtIHAN@yahoo.com
Smiles,
Kelly

I think everyone would have a blast using it! I just need to get some..lol

ReplyDeleteI have a baby quilt pattern that I would like to make and it would be a perfect place to use Texture Magic because babies love to learn by feeling different things and it looks SO cute!
ReplyDeleteI love to embellish my sewing projects. If I got Texture Magic I would experiment at first, but then I would us it on my daughter's twirly skirt, on a purse I am sewing and on a jean jacket I am embellishing. It looks like fun and is something I am unfamiliar with. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI would love to try the texture magic on a bag. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to try Texture Magic ever since Superior Threads brought it out. I envision something for my 2 year old granddaughter-she loves purses-perhaps a fun purse or tote!
ReplyDeleteWell, golly, I'm finding out about a lot of new products to me through this grand give away. Thank you for introducing me to them. If I don't win them, there's some I'll definitely be ordering from you. This starch would be one.
ReplyDeleteOh I could use more of this stuff. I went through my first bottle pretty quick (everything I touched turned textured) I especially like using it for fabric used in my quilts, epsecially if I don't have a huge variety of fabrics.
ReplyDeletekbsteuber at yahoo dot com
I have only seen Texture Magic in projects on the web but I think it would look great in a bag. So, that is what I'll use it for most probably.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried this but I'd love to use this to make a bridal purse for my daughter's wedding. I think the texture on white silk would be lovely.

ReplyDeleteThe address of my choice would be a mini quilting group that I belong(ed)to. She is wonderful with embellishments and this would be a great gift to her. I say belong because one remains a part of any quilting group that you participate in, but I say belonged because I have moved too far away to participate. Sure do miss that group!
ReplyDeleteooooooh aaaaaaah, I've wanted to try this product since it first came out. It looks so neat! I'm making some wall art right now that I think would look AMAZING with some Texture Magic! *fingers crossed*
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteRobert Kent in northern Iowa - (rjkent at netamumail dot com)
looks like it would be fun to use in bags, WHs, maybe even a tissue holder, etc..
ReplyDeleteI want to use the texture magic on either a jacket or purse or maybe even both.
ReplyDeleteI think it would work great to use in a purse or bag.
ReplyDeleteI hate to be a copycat, but I'd really like to make a small journal cover for my purse with a lovely textured front.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of texture magic before, but checked out the videos. Since I love texture in my paper projects so much, I know I'll love it in my quilting. I started making little art quilts after I first got my sewing machine. I know they are not real quilts, but they are fun and easy and your don't have to be a good seamstress to make them. This product would make it SO easy to add texture to these little quilts before I add the backing. It looks so easy (a word I live by) to use. I wouldn't have to be a skilled seamstress to use this. It is something that would give great results to my scrap quiltlets with little sewing skills on my part.
ReplyDeleteONe project I NEED to try is using htat stuff in a purse. I've seen it online and so want some of my own...
ReplyDeleteI could think of tons of things that i would like to do with Texture Magic.

ReplyDeleteBeen wanting to play with this stuff. Flower centers, it says to me, made out of layers of all of the loose threads that fray off when I prewash my fabrics.
