As I type....I am alone in the long, long, long hall at the convention center in Houston. I came over to get some photos of Market being torn down and the Festival being set up. I am completely amazed how many forklifts I see being driven around moving crates.....what I would not do to be able to drive a fork lift right now. I saw 4 "Westminster" crates....huge crates.....alone......and I would be able to drive them home if only I knew how to drive one.
I'm off to bed now.....flying out tomorrow and once I get home....I investing in new technology.....I have three cameras and a video camera. None will download to my laptop and one of the cameras won't work at all. So.....until I return to headquarters I won't be able to share the great photos and stories I have to share with all of you.
Smiles,
Kelly
Kelly,
ReplyDeleteYou must be exhausted!!! but extremely happy! I cannot wait to see what you come home with!
Have a good sleep!
hugz
Pam...excited to see pics!!!
It is a shame I wasn't there with you. I have driven a forklift in one of my many (and diverse) jobs.
ReplyDelete=) Can't wait to see the photo's...
ReplyDeleteSorry you're having camera problems. I don't download to my laptop ... danger Will Robinson.
ReplyDeleteI connect the camera to my laptop with the camera cord, open My Computer and then COPY from my camera to a "thumb drive". Last step is to upload all to my webshots account. Never loose them, never a virus, never cause my laptop to get slowwwww. Just my way.
Hey Kelly: Before you buy new gear, maybe all you need are some new "drivers" for the current equipment. Check the camera mfgs websites.
ReplyDelete(See you will get to Drive something!)

Sorry to hear about your camera and laptop not playing well together. Looking forward to pictures. I thought you would be staying the entire quilt festival?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for you to show me what I missed....so sad...but I am definitely planning on attending next year.
ReplyDeleteThe photos you did post were wonderful and it sounds like you had a great time at market. Hope your flight home was a good one.
ReplyDeleteTake care and get some rest.
Peace,
Karen
Hee, hee, I had tons of fun driving a front-loader once (even when we/I got it stuck in the *big* ditch!!), so I know you'd have fun with a forklift! And if you DID load it up with boxes, I could drive my truck over & you could just drop 'em in! Sorry about all your techie troubles - I can relate to them, too. Here's hoping you have a nice safe flight & get to share with us soon, without spending too many $$!
ReplyDeleteOh the temptation - I would have tried to figure it out, lol - can't be harder than a semi!
