Pets on Quilts Show - The IHAN Monkeys


Have you entered your photo of your pets on a quilt yet?  If not...click here to find out how you can participate....oh yeah....and win some very cool prizes too :)

Can you see my little pet here?  Yes....just his nose on the tip of the quilt.  

 ...this is Jake and his two Monkey brothers, Aaron and Zachary  I knew the minute I asked them to come lay on the quilt it would be pandemonium....or as I call it panda-balognium!!!


 Jake quickly began licking the Monkey's face....so I had to get them all to move and when I did...
 Jake sat on the other Monkey's head....go figure.  You know you can't make animals in the zoo perform for the camera....and I can't make the animals at the IHAN Zoo perform either....what you get is what you get :)
 Isn't this a beautiful Christmas quilt?  You can't really see it in these photos but the quilting is done with red and green threads...all by hand.  I love it...think it is beautiful.
You won't believe where or when I got this beautiful quilt.....I'm still pinching myself.  The Monkey's and I stopped at a garage sale today...they wanted 5 dollars for this quilt...yes you read that right...5 bucks!!!  I asked why they were selling it for 5 dollars and the lady told me they received it as a wedding gift and they can't even remember who gave it to them.  It sits packed in the attic so they decided to get rid of it in their garage sale.  So sad for them and so darn lucky for me :)

Oh yeah....you can vote on your favorite pets on quilts too.  If you want to vote for the IHAN Zoo....that would be cool....if not....that's cool too :)  Either way...I get to keep the animals and the quilt so I'm thrilled!!!

    Love your Zoo. Your quilt is lovely but how sad someone has put all that time, effort and love into making it and they didn't even like it, good for you though!! Linda x

    Love the quilt and the zoo to :) I'm glad that the quilt now has a good home. Last summer I bought four quilts for $25 at a garage sale. My sisters were extremely happy when they received an antique quilt for their birthdays. My Mom is doing great!

    Kelly it looks HAND QUILTED!!! THIS is the reason I don't give quilts as wedding gifts!! You certainly did a good deed by rescuing that beautiful quilt.

    Love the monkeys and Jake, who is getting huge. That was fast. That quilt is gorgeous, I can't imagine not appreciating it. I feel for the forgotten quilter.

    Lovely kids! Is this not a good lesson to us-sign your quilts! I wonder if they would have sold it,if they knew who gave it to them? I am so glad it was "rescued" and given a good home!

    OH MY GOODNESS did you score on that quilt - I would die if someone did that to a quilt I made, lol! I'd better be careful who I give them to! Great quilt and even better pics, love those monkeys, lol!

    What an amazing find and rescue! Some people just don't appreciate the love someone put into that quilt. Glad it will be love by you and your family now. I'm sure the quilt is smiling now!

    Priceless - all of 'em!!! The monkeys look soooo happy & Jake looks well loved!! I can't wait to vote for the IHAN zoo, so please be sure to put another link next week, when voting opens, k?

    My pup loves to sit on whatever is the highest point at the moment. Now that I have foot propped up on a stack of 3 sofa pillows, she tries her darndest to get atop of them too!! It's easier for her when I remove my foot. :)

    Cute kids and dog and pretty quilt. That is so great for you that you were able to get that quilt for 5 bucks. Sad that someone put so much work into it only to have it languish in an attic, unappreciated till you got it.

    Well, at least now the quilt belongs to someone who appreciates it. I wonder why some one would make a quilt for a wedding and not label it? Looks like your menagerie had a lot of fun with the photo shoot.

    Jake is a handsome fellow and so are your monkeys. Insane story about the $5 quilt - I am het up on behalf of the person who made it - talk about ingratitude. So glad it belongs in an appreciative home now.

    Giggle! This is priceless....where's the other pup? Didn't you have two? Oh, wait, that would have added another pup to the one pup and two monkeys, and instead of pandemonium you would have had a breakout at the zoo! LOL
