I am told it is 4 days before it will be Christmas Day 2013. Since I live in my own world, I'm clearly not aware of the date now when Christmas Day falls and I still have several gifts to make. Since my embroidery machine is laying belly up without a pulse, those gifts will have to wait until the Babylock technician can revive her.
I'm sharing some gifts I have made for Christmas today....at least the one's I remembered to take photos of during these past few months.
A large I-Spy quilt for my boys when they lay on the sofa. It was beautifully quilted by Joanne from Splitting Stitches Longarm Quilting (she quilted all of the quilts in this post). There are no two blocks alike and the boys will have a ball playing with this quilt.
This quilt was made for one of my mother's doctors, at her request. The pattern is Big Ten by Swirley Girl Designs.
I can't say who this is for in my blog post as someone just may pop in and read the post...so I'm just not saying.... :)
This is as far as I got on the drink koozies before my machine passed out cold. They will be nice when they are all finished.
These are the machine embroidery gifts that I remembered to take photos of....what is wrong with me? I typically take photos of everything....my brain must need to be called back home.
A reflection of our Christmas tree in the window...I thought it looked so pretty with the snow on the bushes out front of our house.
I hope all is well in your world....I'd love to hear about your experiences during the holidays.
Smiles,
Kelly

I haven't used the embroidery attachment for some time--your post is inspiring. Have a Merry Christmas and keep warm. XOXO
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, and the recipients are blessed to be given the results of your talents!
ReplyDeleteYour machine died? Bummer!!! Glad to see you are getting back to your old self. I miss her! The embroidery looks fun... and the quilts are lovely!
ReplyDeleteDanhters and granddaughters arrived today! So excited...me that is! 10'days of giggles, coOkies, presents and fun excursions! Happy Hildays Kelly!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that your machine is sick, mine usually goes to the doctors sometime during the holidays. The Christmas tree picture is so pretty, it looks like a Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteOh my, what happened to the machine? Could it be you worked it to death? It really is annoying when they go out just when you need them.
ReplyDeleteI love that quilt for ??? I will be watching the mail. heheehhee
Beautiful gifts, Kelly! I'm sorry about your machine dying. Maybe the repairman can breath life back into it soon. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy making gifts. They all look beautiful. Sorry your machine is "belly up". Not a good time for a machine to get sick. I hope your repair person can get it fixed so it can come home soon.

The quilts, the towels, the can wraps, the tree - all very lovely. And that's the best way (the ONLY way) to see snow - thru someone else's window! :) hugs & healing thoughts to you all, including Miss Baby!
ReplyDeleteDang woman, you've been busy!!!!! Love how the doc's quilt came out. He will LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteChillaxing today. Got a migraine earlier.. not fun. We're just going to hang here this Christmas. Just hubby and I. Want to just take it easy.
Must be you were productive while recuperating. How is that ankle? All your projects would love to find a place in my house. LOL I too have been on a sewing frenzy for the holiday. I made the boys furry backpack monsters. They are just darling! I'm sure they will be a hit! I know if I were 6 and 7 I'd want to sleep with mine. Have a blessed and peaceful Christmas. Will the girls be with you during the holidays?
ReplyDeleteYour gifts are beautiful and I hope no surprise were ruin by the writing of this post ;)
