  1. Having less would be nice... especially every time I move!!! But then again, having good tools and a comfortable place to sit is also very nice. The real trick, is knowing when you can be satisfied and happy with what you have, not what you want!

  2. I decided long ago that a job that makes me happy OR lets me be happy is worth more than lots of money. Would I like more money? Sure, but not at the expense of my joy.

  3. I'm working on it - first simplicity, then minimalist. Thank you.

  6. I am not much of a minimalist--I'm very sentimental and get attached to "things" that remind me of times or people. But I'm working on minimalism in my quilting, which I find incredibly satisfying.

  7. I just read about them today. The smile it bought to my face. They got it much younger then I did. I moved from NY a year ago. Yes i miss the salary but not the stress. I love my job here. I make less then half. I hardly bought anything with me, I didnt want much. I only cared about my grandparents bedroom set, they dont make it like that anymore and I feel they are with me all the time. I bought my kitchen gadgets of course. My house is simple but nice. I dont want it filled up. What I do have makes me smile. I walked away from a lot, most people would never do what i did. Thats why I totally get what these guys did. The wrote about it. How smart of them. I am the happiest i have ever been. Things arent what matters, its people and relationships. We cant take any of it when we go home to jesus.
