Just Doin' My Best

Momma always said, "just do the best you can"...so that is what I've been doing.  Not writing a lot....but for now...that's my best! Saddest part is I miss chatting with the friends I've met through blogging.

Ok, I have to give up before I even begin.  Why?  Because my laptop that I typically use is with the Geek Squad being repaired (for the second time and it was purchased in March 2015)...so I decide to use my Mac and download photos from the new IPhone I got.  What happened?  It updated my phone (loosing all but two of the voice mails I have saved of my mother's voice) and put the photos into iphoto.  I can't seem to get them into Picasa, which I what I typically use.

Clearly....I'm having issues and each day I get to find out what the new mechanical issue of the day is!

Sorry...and Hello....and I give up trying to post today.

Upside down smiles to Mechanical Devices and Right Side Up Smiles to all my friends!

Kelly

  1. I was just thinking about you today and hoping you're doing well. I'm sorry you're having so many tech problems, I think you should record those voice mails unto a real tape recorder so you have a back up, they're to precious to lose. Upside smiles to you :)

  3. It is good to hear from you. I just got a new ibook and phone and they nice thing is, all the photos go to iPhoto from the phone, so it is nice to have them where I can edit them but bad since it takes up a lot more space. When you take photos now, you can direct them to certain sites, not sure about picasa.

    1. Ah Technology...can't live without it, and really can't get rid of it. I hear ya about losing of the messages. When my mom passed there was no technology to capture her voice or anything like that. I have pictures, like before digital type pictures, And memories, but the thing that I could keep was two checks that she cashed for me and signed on the back. I have her handwriting! I've had those since 1981! Hang in there Sweetie!

  4. I miss hearing from you. Don't feel bad, I haven't written on my blog in quite awhile. I got tired of not getting notifications of my comments, and don't know how to fix it. I just stopped. Need to get my mojo back going, too. I'm sorry you are having such mechanical/technical difficulties. I feel your pain about hearing your mom's voice. I do have her recorded that my dad and step-mom made me tapes of us singing when I was young. I was 15 when she passed away in 1974. I still miss her today even after 41 years.

  5. It was good to see your "post" even if you are having a difficult time. It looks like all of us are just treading water most days, but the important thing is the Lord keeps our heads up so we don't drown. :) Hope & pray things even out for you.

  6. Nice to see you getting back at it, Kelly! Been suffering technology issues on my end of the internet as well. I think I finally have my problem solved. Now to get back into the blogging routine after months of neglect!

  7. Been missing you girlfriend. And just for you info. I haven't been able to load anything onto picasa either. I can only download my pictures on my computer and send them direct to my blog. No more editing :-( Take care, and keep writing. We miss your happy face.

  8. I was just thinking about you yesterday! I am using some of the batting that I bought from you a long time ago. For some reason, I was thinking it was bamboo, or something different, but it didn't say that on the package. I know I was supposed to let you know if I liked it! Will keep you posted on that - I'm using it for a small wall hanging that I will be hand quilting! Hope you are doing well!

  9. Good to hear from you, don't worry about the delay in connecting we will always wait until things smooth out. So sad to hear you've lost the voice messages of your Mom but thankfully you still have two of them. I lost my Dad at Easter and have 6 of his messages and treasure them so I can feel for you. Take care of yourself.
