  1. Oh...this onoe is awesome, I could use thread here on the island. Well...since I am on an island, I think I would go and visit my sons, not really a dream vacation.....a cruise would be awesome...I just love the ocean.

  2. Hmmm...a week and money's no concern. This is a hard one. Definitely somewhere in Europe as my husband's never visited and I've only gotten as far as England. It's a tough choice between France (so I can tour all the wineries and heritage chateaux while my husband watches the Tour de France) and Prague (because it's such a beautiful and old city).

  3. I would go touring all the beautiful scenery in Central Eastern and Southern Utah. It is one of our (maybe our very top favorite) place to go for R and R. We even have a special place we call ("Nancy's Rock) that is located up in one of the scenic parks. We park in the trail head parking and walk back a ways and there is this enormous round flat rock where we can see for miles and miles, overlooking the breathtaking scenery. We have our coffee and watch the sunrise and later have our brandy (or wine) and watch the sunset. There is just no describing it. We would go there to celebrate our 41st anniversay. Yup. of all the exotic choices I have...this would be our choice. By the way, just that would be my hubby I would be taking with me...We would also pull our new enclosed motorcycle trailer and after getting settled in a lovely hotel, we woud tour the area on our Goldwing. My health won't allow me the long distance rides so my DH suggested trying it this way. I'm blessed to have him! By the way, if you would like to tag along, we will show you some GREAT scenery, but you have to get your own hotel room **wink**. We would love to go to Scotland but I have one teeny issue...I DON'T FLY, not since the airplane lost an engine when i was flying home Hawaii with a very sick 8 month old in my arms. (found out later it was what is called the German Measles. )

  4. New Zealand! I would take hubby with me, but a week is not nearly long enough to see and do all that I want there!

  5. my dream vacation would be to go to Australia. I want to travel the whole continent. I think it would be cool to meet some of the Aussie friends I've met through this blog. Of course you can go along. My DH and all three of our DDs and their families. Then, I would fly from there to Alaska for a cruise. My DH and I would have moonlight dates with a glass of wine while gazing at the stars. During the day we would see all the wondrous sites there are to see. Of course you would be welcome to go along with our DDs and their families. Then, it would be off to some deserted island somewhere that few others know about. This part of the trip would probably have to be just my DH and me. Sorry.

  6. I'd go back to Hawaii with my daughter and husband because we had such a nice time during our last trip. I love Hawaii, it's lovely and each island is so unique. You can come a long ;)

  7. My husband and I were just talking about this last night. He wants to go to Alaska, I want to go back to Israel, just to walk around and this time I would take him. He gave me a trip to Israel for my birthday 9 years ago, and I went with a tour of women, but I would like to go on a different tour with him.

  8. Kelly,

I love, love, love Isacord Thread. What a wonderful give-away. Whom ever wins will certainly enjoy this prize. I know I would.

If I had the money and time, my dream trip would be a trip to Ireland. I'd love to go with you and all my quilting friends, travel around the country, and stay at a beach cottage large enough for us to enjoy each other's company and have a nice quilt sew-cial.

  9. OH! a dream vacation would be northern California coast, into Oregon and Washington. I have never been there and would love to travel the coast highway,,, slowly so I can savor the scenes. Of course I would have my camera and have to jump out of the car and take just scads of pictures! Better yet, a small camper ( Winnibago, do they still make those?) would be ideal to have,, then we could just pull over to the rest areas and take it all in on our leisure. Also, if I had the camper then several people could go too! ( Yes, Kelly, of course you would be invited! ) and we would all have enough room for sewing machines cause then we would have something to do in the evening LOL! Along the way we would HAVE to stop at ALL the quilt stores,,, that is always a MUST on any vacation....
ok,, you see I can keep going on my dream vacation... Who wants to go with me??

  10. I would take an Alaskan Cruise. I think it would be so much fun to see the coast on the way there and to see the glaciers & wilderness of Alaska. I would take anyone in my family who wanted to go. We love to go on family vacations, so if money is no object, they can all go. You can come too!

  11. My dream trip would be to Europe to see all of the sights, and yes you could come too. I might need more than a week as I would need 24 hours travelling time on either end due to being in New Zealnd. If I could not travel out of NZ a wekk with my husband and daughter touring NZ would do me.

  12. Only a week but money is no object? That would be simple. I would take my entire family (husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, neices and nephews, parents-in-law and a few friends) to Walt Disney World. We would get rooms at the Grand Floridian (probably a whole floor!) and do all the high end things like the private Illuminations viewing parties and the Fireworks cruises. A large scale trip to Disney is something we have been talking about for years. We are complete Disney nuts!
I have always wanted to take a trip to Europe but if you want my 'dream', it is Disney all the way!

  14. Since reading George McDonald books, I've always wanted to go to Scotland....sheep along the craigy hills, the heathered moors...the rolling RRR's of the scotish tongue. But, since this is only a week long vacation, I REALLY need to visit my Mum in Florida...she's going to be 85 and I havne't seen her in over two years. The financial squeeze is on....I told her that this fall I was DEFINATELY coming, but I'm wondering if it'll happen...hubby's company just filed a chapter 15? So, it's hard to know how the long term will be....sigh...sorry to share that bit of woe....

  16. I agree with Jean. I'd take an Alaskan cruise. I'd want my family (DH and 2 boys to come with me) I'd also take my brothers and their families plus my SIL and her family. We'd just fill up the ship.

    Thanks for the dream!

  20. My dream trip would be to the USA maybe a quilt show or two. Shop hop for sure as many states and as much fabric that would fit in a bag back to Australia. Would have to visit Kelly so she could sell me all the notions that I need and want, and I would bring my two daughters along for the ride.

  21. I would really love to visit more of the good ole U S of A! There are so many places that I have never seen. And of course I would want my whole family to come too. I'd take them, well, because I love my children and enjoy being with them.

  22. Lovely giveaway! Beautiful thread... sigh... wishful thinking... Okay, focus.. the holiday... I would definitely go somewhere on a sailboat, and somewhere nice and warm (not too warm, inbetween) with a nice breeze and near a town with a fabulouse quilting suppies shop with good workshops. I would do a workshop, handquilt it on the boat, whilst my hubby (would bring him, he is good company and fabulous at cooking..) looks after the boat, the sailing and the catering... Does that not sound bliss?? Dream on..... :-) But it was nice thinking about it!
