Wow these prizes are getting better and better. I have never used this thread before, but have heard some rave reviews. I'd love to try aurifil for quilting. Thanks again for your fabulous giveaway month!
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurifil Thread. I would love to win because I'm a new quilter and don't know much about good quality thread. I'm sure the stuff I have been getting is NOT good quality.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaways!
I haven't used Aurifil, but I keep reading good things about it, so I would love to win this and try it out!
ReplyDeleteI have not used this thread but am looking for a new go-to favorite. Had been using another brand (hint: starts with G and ends with mann) but it completely gunked up - and locked up - my machine. Back to square one, I guess!
ReplyDeleteI have not tried the Aurafil thread yet as I haven't been able to locate it locally. I'd like to try it for hand and machine applique. If Mark and Pat are involved, among others, then it has got to be some good stuff for sure!
ReplyDeleteI am swooning over here! Count me in! I dream of owning a few spools of their thread! For now Gutterman is what I use in my machine, but I am aiching for something better (especially now that my taste in fabric quality is much improved! and I am trying to learn how to applique...by hand at the moment. Someday I Will own a machine that can do the stitches for me)
ReplyDeletei have not used it...yet! i am just learning to embroider - this seems perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove to win the threads so I could try to do some punchneedle with it. Oh! And the blends of colors I could do. Yes! Toss my name in the hat for this drawing on the threads.
ReplyDeleteI love good quality thread and great thread colors. But sadly, I don't have any experience with this thread I can share. I hope this doesn't disqualify from winning,as I'd truly love to win and play with this thread. You've shared great insights and this does sound like fantastic thread!

Oh, I LOVE your dream. ME TOO! I am such a sucker for colors, and once I find something new, then I NEED all the colors.
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurifil. Probably because this tiny town only stocks Coats and Clark.
I'm not complaining. I'm glad we have THAT here. I have saved my lists for when I trek "up north", and I usually have to bring a sample of fabric to match. I sew for other people and often I need a matching thread.
How fun it would be to win this! Thank you for your most generous offer.

This is the best giveaway celebration I've ever seen! You must be a special gal that so many people/companies are giving your readers these awesome gifts!
ReplyDeleteI have only recently switched from Coats & Clark to Guterman. That was like night and day! I can only imagine what specialty threads feel like!
I have never used Aurifil Threads but I would like to try. You can never have enough thread.
ReplyDeleteElaine
I have never used Aurifil thread but would love to. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used Aurifil Thread, but based on what you have outlined above, I sure would love to!
ReplyDeleteI never have used this thread, but after reading this, I sure would love the chance to try it! I think I'd leave it on display for a while though, and just look at it!
ReplyDeleteMGM
Wow, the prizes are getting more incredible by the day! I would love to try aurifil thread. I have never used it but have heard great reviews about it. Thanks once again for a chance to win some of these goodies! Sharonj.
ReplyDeleteThis is very exciting! I would love to win this thread. I am a huge fan of the 50 wt. but have never tried the heavier 28 weight. Please put my name in the hat!
ReplyDeleteI soooo would love to win the Aurefil thread...I have used it and love it, but only bought a few spools of cream. Please let me win...please, please, please! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteThis prize is the BEST!! I have used this thread and it is wonderful. It is strong and nearly lint-free and just disappears when you are piecing. It ranks miles above the rest. Thanks for a chance to win!!
ReplyDeleteOH WOW!!! Oh How I would love this give away :)
ReplyDeleteI have not personally used Aurafil as of yet, but just recently picked up some 12 wt to do some sashiko on a wall hanging for my husband. I did take the wrapper off and it is so soft, looking forward to using it! I would love to add more to my sewing supplies. I have some great friends that only use Aurafil for longarm and quilting and it is the only thing that they use!!
I have never used Aurifil thread. I enjoy doing thread painting and have an embroidery machine. From this post, it seems that Aurifil thread can do it all. I would love to win this giveway and give Aurifil a try.
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurafil but I have heard great things about it and would love to win to try it out for myself . . .
ReplyDeleteYour giveaway is great and the prizes are out of this world. Enough to keep me drooling conrats on your anniversay. My sister at bejeweled sent me. mjeanjon@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely love to win this thread! I love Aurifil, but it's not available around here, so I can only get it when I visit other locations.
ReplyDeleteI HAVE to win this one!! Aurafil is the ONLY thread I use!! Started 3 years ago, and haven't used anything else!
ReplyDeleteThank You, Aurafil and Alex Veronelli for this wonderful prize that I NEED to win!! lol!!
Wow such great prizes. I haven't used Aurifil Thread yet but have heard good things about it. I'm a newbie with sewing I would love to try it for quilting. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI have not used Aurifil, but I have several blog-friends who cannot recommend it highly enough. I've checked my local shops and have not come across it. This would be an amazing prize to win!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway! Please enter my name.
ReplyDeleteI use Aurifil thread religiously for my piecing. I was talked into it by a store owner in Rochester, MN when I was visiting there. I tried it, and my piecing immediately improved in terms of accuracy. I think it's because the thread is lighter weight (but strong) and doesn't take up as much room in the seam allowance. I love this thread. Oh, please pick me!!!! stephanie.peterson@wmich.edu
ReplyDeleteI have used Aurifil thread for machine piecing and it's wonderful. I usually buy it at Quilt Shows because my LQS does not carry it. This is a spectacular give away!
ReplyDeleteI haven't used it either, but since everyone keeps recommending it I wouldn't pass up a chance to see what I'm missing!
ReplyDeleteI use Aurifil 50wt thread for hand and machine piecing and for hand applique. LOVE this stuff! :) I bought some 12wt for hand embroidery and hand quilting and I am looking forward to experimenting with it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome prize - pick me, pick me! :) LOL
Linda
Sorry if this is a duplicate post!
ReplyDeleteI've been a quilter for a while, but concentrated on the gadgets, technique and fabrics. I've learned that good quality fabric makes all the difference, and the same is true about thread! I work with women who are art quilters (and they use Aurafil) but I've always thought it was for "them" and not "me" (I don't quilt for exhibition, just for love!) The information and links in your blog have educated me about this thread (and now I'm wanting one of those displays more than I can say, aaugh!) so yes, I'd love this sampler set so I can learn and use this product. Thanks for posting all the information, etc. - I've learned so much from blogs like yours!
Joan
I took a quilting class and the instructor turned me onto this thread. I was really impressed. Especially when it didn't clog up my machine with fuzz when I did high speed decorative stitches. Some may think it's expensive but it's worth every penny!
ReplyDeleteJulie
Parts of your post appear to have white blocks over some of the writing, so I can't see exactly what is required of us in our comment today, but I can tell you I have never used Aurafil thread...I've used crappy stuff and also have used Gutermann and some of the threads from Superior Thread (which were nice). I've heard a lot about Aurafil and would like to try it to see if I like it enough to buy some for myself after that.
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurafil thread but would love to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurifil Thread before but would love to try it. My grandmother just bought a quilting machine and I have free access to it...to have some decent thread to use would be so great!!!
ReplyDeleteI exclusively use Aurifil thread for all of my piecing projects, and for a lot of my quilting, too. My machine must be getting picky-- it goes a little nuts every time I try to use another brand of thread. :P
ReplyDeleteI like it because it's lightweight, the price is reasonable, and the spools are GIGANTIC. I use those empty spools for wrapping up bias tape or whatever I feel like. It always feels good to finish up a spool of Aurifil.
Oh Please, Pick Me. I thought some of the other prizes were wonderful, but this one tops them so far. I can't imagine how your continue to surpass each day, but you do and on vacation too.
ReplyDeleteI love this thread. I believe it has made me a better quilter. My seams do lay flatter and I am much more precise using this thread. Also, my machine loves it, because there is some much less lint to clean out of the bobbin area. It is just wonderful. Thank you for gathering such wonderful gifts.
chris_quilting@yahoo dot com
I only us Aurifil thread because one of the wonderful ladies at my favorite quilt shops told me it is the only thread she uses. I am a very good listener and do what I am told!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this great prize.
Nancy
I am in LOVE with this thread!
ReplyDeleteOh how I would love to add to my little meager collection of 5 spools...
Yes, I use Aurifil a lot of times in my studio. It works wonderfully.
ReplyDeleteNow, listen carefully - I WANT ALL THESE PRIZES! Not just today's.....*L*
They are just getting better and better and you're not even halfway.
I have used Aurifil and was very pleased with the lack of lint and the fine stitching. I'd love to win more for my stash. Kathie L
ReplyDeleteI've never used Aurifil Thread, but I'd love to give it a try. The colors are glorious!
ReplyDeleteI have not used Aurifil Thread, but would love to try it! I've heard good things about it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLike many others here, I have never used this thread. But I'd love to take my machine piecing up a notch by using quality thread, so pick me! Pick me! Pick me!!
ReplyDeleteOh..this the TOL thread out there. I even have a thread chart and spools of several colors.
ReplyDeleteAlex is a wonderful person to work with as he's answered several questions from me.
It's the cones that are the hardest to find as I go through so much white.
The 12 wt is wonderful for Hardanger Embroidery.
If you decide to carry it (not sure if you do) I'll be first in line.
I haven't used Aurifil threads before. . . but I just got my mid-arm quilting frame delivered so I'm on the look out for quality threads that can be used in machine quilting.
ReplyDeleteWinning this giveaway would give me a chance to try something other than my regular thread.
I use Aurifil thread pretty much exclusively. My machine loves it, *I* love it and it's never been anything but wonderful for me. I recently picked up a spool of 50 wt orange variegated thread and I've been amazed at how versatile it's been - I've quilted two (small) quilts with it already. I piece with their dark and light gray thread. I LOVE AURIFIL!
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurifil before, but I want to try it out! It sounds so nice!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to win because this thread sounds like it could make all my sewing projects so much better and easier!
ReplyDeleteI love Aurifil. It's all I use...
ReplyDeleteI've used Aurifil thread and really like it. Love to win this collection
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurifil Thread but would love to try it. You know winning might not be a good idea because if I liked it then I would have to have the suitcase of 216 colors, you know you just need all the pretty colors..
ReplyDeleteI also love Aurifil thread. It is a pleasure to use and really doesn't have the lint issue of some other threads. What a wonderful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGuess you have convinced me that I must try Aurifil thread. It is like all the great products you offer, once you use the best like Dovo scissors you don't want to use the
ReplyDeleteold ones. Count me in for this one.
I have not used Aurifil thread before, but I am becoming increasingly aware of the importance of thread selection and the value of quality thread. It would be very interesting to have this variety of weights to practice with and explore the outcomes. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI have never used it but I want to. I hope I win, I hope I win, I hope I win.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance Kelly.
Looks like candy! My LQS doesn't carry Aurifil threads. I've been wanting to try it, but hate to pay shipping and handling for one spool.
ReplyDeleteI just bought my first spool but havent opened it yet. I cant wait to give it a try. I'm trying to use up what I currently have before I give it a try. Count me in!
ReplyDeleteI started using Aurifil after a class with I think it was Laura Heine. I bought a bunch of them at the Houston Quilt Show. I love em. So smooth and clean and in so many different weights and colors. Reminds me I am probably due to stock up. thanks!
ReplyDeleteI like many others who have commented have not used this thread but from everything I have heard or read it sound wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI would really love to win this as with everything that is from USA costs so much more here down under in OZ by the time you ship and pay for it add the buyers mark up for them, sorry I'll get off my bandwagon.
I have not used it but would love to learn about it and there is no better way to learn than to use it and see how it performs.
ReplyDeleteI have not used Aurifil thread but would love to try it.
ReplyDeleteRosemary
Cntryways@att.net
You are killing us with these wonderful prizes - I feel like a kid in a candy store! Really!!
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurifil thread. I've read your reviews about it and have heard other bloggers mention it specifically as a thread they love to use. I would be so grateful to be able to brag about it on my blog too!
Thank you again for a chance to win - can't wait to see what you have in store for us tomorrow!
I have just recently started using aurifil thread for piecing and quilting and I LOVE it! The thinner thread is great for getting more accurate seams. It doesn't seem to create as much lint in my machine as some other threads I've used. My LQS sells it and I find it a little pricey there. I would love to win so that I could spend more money on fabric!
ReplyDeleteOkay...so, I just had to wipe the drool off of my keyboard! Each of your giveaways gets better and better!!! I would so love to have this incredible thread! I would use it for my hand quilting!!! Now...I must go and rehydrate my body...
ReplyDeleteI do use Aurifil thread because a good friend and wonderful quilter highly recommended it to me. However, it is very hard to find in my area I usually am only finding it at quilt shows. Unfortunately, with a daughter in college, my quilt show travels are being curtailed and that means I have run out of Aurifil. I would so love to win this to have the lovely Aurifil back in my life. I do see the difference in my piecing when I use Aurifil--the seams are flatter and the quilt goes together like a dream. I also feel that with lighter thread, my quilt will last years longer because the thread will not be tearing at the delicate threads of my fabric! Such love is put into each quilt that it only goes to say that it should start with the thread! Thank you so much for the chance, and for listening!
ReplyDeleteAurofil thread is my absolutely favorite thread for piecing. In fact, it's the only thread I use to piece my quilt tops. I would love to win this collection for future quilts. Many thanks!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love Aurofil thread...my favourite for piecing. Thanks for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite quilting thread! A lady in my quilt bee kept raving about it so I finally gave it a try. At first I thought it was way expensive but then I looked at how much was actually on a spool. It's a lot. And when I tried it - I fell in love! It has no lint build up like other threads and if you should ever have to rip some out (as if), it slides out easier than any other. I would so LOVE to win this!!!
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard of Aurofil thread before... but after reading this, I'm going to have to go check it out. I'm a beginning quilter and I'm just starting to discover how big a difference thread quality makes in my projects. I'd love to give this thread a try.
ReplyDeleteI have used part of a spool of Aurifil. mmmmmm...it just glides thru the machine.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win this collection. It is a WonDerFul prize. I have only used the Orange spool, and I clicked on the link and it seems this is the grey spool. So it would be a new experience for me - I I would get to use it for machine quilting! Delightful!
Pick me!!!!!
I have used Aurifil Threads for machine blanket stitching on appliques. It really puts the finishing touch on machine appliques. The look is awesome! I also use the Aurifil Wool thread for hand applique and embroidery. I love the way it looks. It really stitches up nice. Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteWow, wonderful blog, and great giveaways! Congrats on your anniversary!
ReplyDeleteI have not had the chance to try this thread. I'm sure it's not available in my neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteI have not used Aurifil Thread but would jump at a chance to try it. What is it about beautiful wonderful thread that beckons!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win and try this new product.
ReplyDeletePatty D.
Aurifil Threads are absolutely the best!!!! I use then for piecing but have also quilted a queen size quilt with Aurifil. Great giveaway! I really need to win this one!
ReplyDeleteI haven't used Aurifil threads, but I am dying to after reading so many wonderful things about them on various blogs and the Aurifil website.
ReplyDeleteCrossing my fingers :)
Hi, I've never used Aurifil Thread but would love to win because my house is fast becoming a sewing haven. With my three oldest girls making wonderful creations, and me too, when time permits, we would love to try out this high quality thread. Thank you for the opportunity to win it. Kathy
ReplyDeleteJust beginning to play around with applique and I would LOVE to be able to try this thread in all of those wonderful colors!!
ReplyDeleteSO much fun!
Thanks for another great give away!
SheilaC
wowo wowo wowo!!! I actually just started using Aurifil about 3 months ago and I LOVE it!!! It glides through my machine like butter, only with out the mess..lol! My local quilt shoppe also told me it's better for the machine as it leaves less lint! Woo Hoo!! Thank you for such an awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have never tried this thread, would love to though! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteNope never used this brand before! We dont have anyone local that sells it - but of course now you have me wishing that we did! haha! I do alot of machine sewing, hand applique, hand quilting, and machine quilting, so i'm guessing I would have to try all of these out if they were to show up on my doorstep! LOL!! Geez Kelly, just imagining all these things in my greedy little hands has my brain working overtime -my family would never see me again! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI have used Aurifil thread and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI was fortunate enough to take a class with Marsha McCloskey and that is the thread she asked us all to use. It makes piecing the feathered star more accurate and the seams are less bulky. It was like sewing with butter!
OH gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a spool of Aurifil, but I haven't used it yet. And I would like to win because who doesn't need thread? LOL
Hmmm...I have not tried it...but would love to! I hear it is amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurifil thread, but would absolutely love to try it. I hear rave reviews from Matt Sparrow (aka manquilter) all the time on facebook. I am a closet stalker (oops it is out of the bag now) of his.
ReplyDeleteJust now finding your blog. I have never used Aurifil thread, but would love the opportunity to try it out!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Having a selection of those wonderful threads to do a variety of tasks involved in my fiber art would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteI have, unfortunately, never used this thread, although it is on my list of ones to try because I have heard good things about it. I would use it for machine quilting or even hand stitched embellishment.
ReplyDeleteI am new to applique and would love to have this qualit thread and beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful giveaways! I just started using Aurifil *wool thread for hand quilting my prim little quilts and love it...quilts like a dream...
ReplyDeleteI love this thread!!! Use it for piecing and quilting (the size 50 just about disappears). Really, the amount of thread you get for the price is totally worth it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly!
I have used the lana wool and love it for hand sewing. It sews like butter and makes my pieces look more prim. I have not used it on my machine, but need to try some new ones, the one I use now, tends to ravel as I sew.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I haven't used aurifil thread but I would love to. This give-away would enable me to try some of it. :-) I have a number of quilts that need quilting for our church's Hugs Ministry and these would come in very useful. Take care and God bless, Cory
ReplyDeleteI have not used this thread but am more than willing to try it out, as I have been most disappointed with what is available locally in my area. Great prizes!
ReplyDeleteI love Aurifil. It sews just like a dream. i have recommended it to a lot of people. I'd love to try the 28 ct! Carmen
ReplyDeleteOh, it looks fantastic, I would love to win!
ReplyDeletewow, I've never had anything so luxurious.
ReplyDeleteNothing better than Aurifil thread! This is an awesome give away! Thanks Kelly for another great product.
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurifil thread but I would love to win. The reason I'd like to win is bz I use quality fabrics and have never thought too much about the thread I use to put it all together with. Wouldn't it be said if over time my piecing didn't hold up bz of the thread I used? How sad. I just had never thought about using a quality thread before this post and give-away. I'd be sure to get back to you and tell you how I liked it if I won! Cindy
ReplyDeleteThread is better than chocolate. But since I have Godiva tastes on a Hershey budget, I've not yet used Aurifil. I would love to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteOh would this be wonderful! I LOVE Aurifil. It is the only one I use now (unless I get desparate for a color and I don't have any on hand). I use the wool thread for the buttonhole with wool. The 28 wt I use for redwork. The 50 wt - well all my piecing, and applique. Love it. Put my name in!
ReplyDeleteNo he usado nunca, pero si se todo lo que podria hacer usandolos!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was "introduced" to Aurifil thread in January this year and I am seriously IN LOVE! Nothing else compares...the feel, the ease of stitching, the colours, oh the beautiful colours, the EVERYTHING!!! Now I refuse to use anything else for hand piecing/applique - you definitely get what you pay for with Aurifil, quality all the way. I would love to win this collection, what an awesome giveaway, thanks for the opportunity (fingers and toes very tightly crossed and wishing hard!!).
ReplyDeletewow!!
ReplyDeletei've never used aurifil thread but i'd love to try some!!!
gill
WOW! You did get my attention and with the great comments from users I know I have to try it. Must be one of those things that come under the category "you don't miss what you never had". I have never tried Aurifil but I must be missing something.
ReplyDeletelcloos@epix.net
Hi greetings from Western Australia where we do not get this beautiful thread. You are soooo lucky in the USA, we get so few things here. I am increasingly buying things from the states on the web... isn't it great? I would love to win these just so I could try them out. It's that simple. thanks for making this possible. Sam (Sandra) s.downes@murdoch.edu.au

ReplyDeleteNo, not yet! I keep hearing about how wonderful Aurifil is supposed to be. I hear it doesn't leave as much lint as some other threads. I like doing fusible applique and would like to see how this 28wt thread performs.
ReplyDeleteAurifil Threads are heaven to use! We bought samples to use in our machine embroidery guild (MEG) and members just loved it. It runs so smoothly. The Aurifil bobbin thread for machine embroidery, free motion embroidery, thread painting...is to die for. I'm glad to see Mark Lipinski involved with Aurifil! Get some! You won't regret it! You will LOVE it! Can the Italian guys deliver it???
ReplyDeleteI've never used this thread, but it sounds like a dream!
ReplyDeleteI have not used it because I have never seen it for sale where I live, but I hear so many quilters swear by it that I would love to try it. The moral to the story is that if I don't win, I need to just get online and order some!
ReplyDeleteI have not had the pleasure of working with Aurifil Thread, but I would love to have the experience! I love to thread paint and Aurifil would be a great addition to my collection!
ReplyDeleteOoooo, I've heard such good things about this thread but I haven't tried it yet. Why you ask? I'm trying to use up supplies in my stash before purchasing new. Guess I'll have to wait or win. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try Aurifil thread so please enter me in your generous giveaway.
ReplyDeleteSandy
Cha16946san@epix.net

ReplyDeleteI recently started using only Aurifil for all my piecing. It's wonderful thread with almost NO lint! It's my only thread of choice these days. I only wish more stores in my area carried it.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried this thread, but after reading so many wonderful things about it, I'd love to try it, and win it!

ReplyDeleteI do use Auriful thread and love it. I have never had problems with it for sewing or quilting.
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurifil thread - in fact, I have never heard of it, but I live in the backwoods and sewing store supplies are limited. I do a lot of hand sewing and I'll bet this thread would be fantastic! One can never have enough good thread!
ReplyDeleteI have purchased Aurafil based on friends' recommendations but have not used it yet! I will have to correct that.
ReplyDeleteI have not tried the Aurifil thread.Love to win this collection!
ReplyDeleteI am a new quilter and have decided that using cheep thread is really only making things worse for myself! I would love to win the Aurifil Threads to see what it is like to work with high quality thread for a change!
ReplyDeleteI have used Aurifil thread. It is my favourite thread for piecing and general sewing - thin but strong and it does come in a nice range of colours. I have also used it for hand applique and it works well for that. I'd love to win the collection.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely count me in ! I love, love, love the 50 wt Aurifil. So I'm sure I'd love this too. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI've never used Aurifil, but you've got me pulling out my black clothes, mask, dolly and get-away truck and planning a trip to the next show were their vendors will be showing product. Nice thread would be something lovely to have. Crossing my fingers - hope I don't need them before April 16 ;).
ReplyDeleteI have heard so many great things about this thread yet I have not managed to get my hands on some. I would love to try it out.
ReplyDeleteWish I never tried it! It's fabulous! and now I have become a thread snob. Oh the shame of it all.
ReplyDeleteA quilter friend made me buy some to try when at a quilt show. I'm spoiled now.
I am almost too excited to type...but would love to try this thread. You must have nerves of steel to resist trying these out yourself!
ReplyDeleteNo, I have not used Aurifil thread, but really, really want to!! Unfortunately, I'm not able to purchase it locally, so would really be thrilled to win some to try! I've heard it's wonderful!!

I've never used this thread but since I use quality fabrics it just makes sense to use quality thread! I guess I haven't put much thought into thread before. If I win I'll get back to you and tell you how much of a difference I do or don't see with it.
ReplyDeleteAurifil Thread is on my wish list! I haven't tried it yet but I have heard wonderful reviews of it from my fellow guild members. I would love to win some!
ReplyDeleteI have one spool of a very beautiful purple Aurifil thread. I bought it for a special project and loved using it. I would love more.

I've read about Aurifil Thread Collections (color coordinated to fabric designers like Mark Lapinski) yet have never used the thread. I'm now venturing into my first machine quilting adventure. It would be wonderful to have a higher quality thread than from Wal-Mart. I look forward to winning, and then not having to deal with shredding and fuzzies.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU Aurifil Threads and Alex Veronelli for a giveaway of your special thread! mlwright29 {at} hotmail {dot} com
I have never used Aurifil Thread, but a girl can never have enough thread. What's the point of having all that wonderful fabric if you have nothing to stitch it together with? Well, ok, you can fondle fabric all day long, but you really gotta have the thread, too.
ReplyDeleteYou can't sew without thread... Who'da thought that we as grown-ups would be excited about thread. Yes, I said THREAD. Whod'a think?
ReplyDeleteI need to learn more about thread...through experience and research.
The last time I was using a sewing machine, I believe ther was only 1 thread brand. I am just learning to quilt and am totally confused with all the different thrads available. Would love to try this one. Thans for the chance.
ReplyDeleteOf course I would love to win Aurifil Thread! I have never used it but it has a wonderful reputation for being a great quality thread.
ReplyDeleteI have not used the Aurifil Thread but would love to, coats and clark is just not cutting it anymore, I would love to try a great thread, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Aurifil Thread... and so do my quilts, it's what they ask for time and time again!! I would love to win this kit of thread, thanks for the opportunity and Happy Anniversary.
ReplyDeleteI bought a couple of spools in neutral colours as soon as I heard about Aurifil, and now use it for all my piecing (machine AND hand!). I haven't quilted with it yet, mainly because I don't have anything other than neutrals and I am usually looking for colours to quilt with. My machine loves this thread and it's less trouble than any other I've tried!
ReplyDeleteI have not used Aurifil thread, and would love the opportunity. I have friends that rave about it, and so I guess whether I win or not, I'm going to be checking it out!
ReplyDeleteI've used the Mako cotton for machine quilting, but the best was using the Lana Wool for machine embroidery on a knitted sweater! Beautiful!
ReplyDeletei've not used auriful threads but would love too
ReplyDeleteI have not used Aurifil thread yet! I would love to give it a try I'm always on the lookout for new quality threads :)
ReplyDeleteHaven't used it yet, but would love to! I've heard such great things about Aurifil and I can imagine that they make beautiful stitches.
ReplyDeleteI use Aurifil Thread. It is so smooth. I had been using a thread that I thought was of a pretty good quality, but I was having trouble with it breaking. When I started using the Aurifil Thread it was immediately apparent that this thread was the high quality thread! To win this giveaway would be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen this thread around where I live, but I'm always looking to try new things. They look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love Auriful thread! It is what I use for the majority of my piecing. It is the strongest 50 wt 2 ply thread I have used and glides through my machine beautifully. I would love to win this set and see how this thread would do for machine quilting. Thanks so much for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have never used Aurifil thread but I heard it's really really good! I LOVE all the bright colors. It seems like they could absolutely match any fabric out there. I would LOVE to win this thread because I'm making many many baby quilts right now AND clothing for my daughter to start 1st grade come September. THANK YOU so much for the chance to win! *fingers crossed*

I have not used Aurifil Thread before, but I have heard some really great things about it and that's why I'd like to try it. I mean, really, you can never have too much thread, right?
ReplyDeleteI have never had the opportunity to use/try Aurifil threads before, but have REALLY been wanting to because of all of the great comments I keep hearing. I don't have access to these threads around here, and would rather "test-drive" a spool before investing in a large collection of the thread right off the bat. To win some of the thread would be absolutely wonderful!! Thank you so very much for the giveaway opportunity!!
ReplyDeleteI have not had the pleasure of using this wonderful thread and it would be fantastic to be able to give it a try. I quilt, sew and incorporate stitchery into my projects so I could use it in many applications.
ReplyDeleteI have not had the chance to work with this thread yet and would love the opportunity to try it in my quilt making.
ReplyDeleteWow - this is a terrific giveaway! I've used Aurifil in the past and really liked it but the only store that carries it is a long way away.

ReplyDeleteI am not familiar with Aurifil Thread but would love to try it. Sounds like I would never go back to regular thread. With all it's qualities, why...I'd be a quilting fool!
ReplyDeleteI use Aurifil for both piecing and quilting on my domestic and longarm, and I absolutely love it. I think it is the best thread on the market!
ReplyDeleteI've never used this thread but would love the chance to indulge. You've made it sound oh so tempting and my thread collection is pretty pathetic.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn
Oh, this would be wonderful to have!
ReplyDeleteI have never used this thread but it looks lovely and I guess I'd like to win since I never have tried it!
ReplyDeleteI have Aurifil on my Bernina 440 right now. I love it! Thank you Aurifil Threads and Alex Veronelli for this great giveaway opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI love Aurifil thread, and I use it for all my piecing. It doesn't add bulk to the seams, and it is a lot less linty than most other threads out there!
ReplyDeleteYes I have tried the thread and it was wonderful. No lint and fine for machine stitching plus used it for hand applique too and that worked great too.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used Aurifil before but I am just beginning to play more with threads so this is perfect for me.

ReplyDeleteI love Aurifil thread! It is nice and thin and leaves almost no lint in my machine. Occasionally I end up with a spool of something else, and it just reminds me how nice Aurfil is. This is a great collection of colours too! Thank you for the giveaways!
ReplyDeleteI have not used Aurifil thread before but many of my friends have. I have seen some beautiful quilts where it was used for thread painting and they are gorgeous! Since one of my goals is to do an art quilt, the Aurifil thread would be perfect for it.

I have used Aurifil thread before and I LOVED it. The spool runs for ever, the thread is very smooth and although it seems costly, you can sew forever with a spool. Great fan about to go to their facebook page
ReplyDeleteCeline
Thank you for the chance at this beautiful thread. I have never used this thread, but it sounds like it is fantastic. Please enter me in the drawing. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this Aurifil thread because the only thread I have are spools of black, white, and dark blue that I bought for less than a dollar each on sale for a gazillion yards. I'm sure this would make my art quilts better. I even want to do some artsy bobbin work, so these would be super for that, too.
ReplyDeleteI actually have not tried this thread. Can you believe none of the local quilt store have?!!
ReplyDeleteWould love to try it
Did you ask if I would use this thread? Should you have to ask? I will show you the finished product then. thanks
ReplyDeleteI have tried Aurifil thread and love it! I would love to win, as they are great quality thread!
ReplyDeleteMicki
I haven't tried the Aurifil Thread yet, I'd love to improve my quilting skills, and finishing

ReplyDeleteYour post is a great one too! I've never used Aurifil, but hope to one day!
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
Have you used Aurifil Thread? - yes I use it to piece all the time
ReplyDeleteIf so, tell us about your experience. I love it no lint
If not, please tell us why you would like to win. I want to win all the colors!
I have never used Aurifil thread since there are no local quilt shops that carry it and I'm not sure how my machine will be with this thread. Machines and thread are very particular. It would be great to win this so that I could test of the Aurifil thread.
