Edited 4/12/10 - I must have been tired and left some of my favorite parts out....oops :)
IHAN's 30 Days of Giveaways
Anniversary Celebration
Cecile McPeak from Just Another Button Company calls these, "Just Pins." IHAN calls them "Pretty Darn Spanky Embellished Wonderments." I can't help it....they are just toooo much fun. Several weeks ago Cecile sent me a wonderful package that included these pins. Now, you must know I could not part with everything she gave me....I'm sorry but sometimes a girl has to do what a girl has to do!!! (I can get away with this because she sent them as a gift without knowing about the 30 Days of Giveaways :).
Just Another Button Company also makes wonderful buttons for embellishing needle art projects, wall hangings, quilts, clothing and pin cushions of course!!!
These buttons are just so fantastic. There are so many patterns available using Just Another Button Company buttons as embellishments. Look at this Tea Pot Series:
Who would not smile with delight when looking at the Tea Pot Series. The embellishments really make this design extra special.
Edit begins here :) I must have been very tired after our trip because I forgot some of my absolute favorite photos...so here they are :
Just Another Button Company's Pin Cushions :)
How ever did I leave these out? I absolutely love them. Seriously now, can you imagine walking into your sewing area and seeing something so delightful and not feeling good? If you can imagine that....see a doctor....preferable a Psychiatrist because you may have serious signs of Depression NOS. If you think they are ugly you definitely have had a Brief Psychotic Disorder!!! Seek Professional HELP FAST :)
As a matter of fact, Cecile sent me a kit and did I put it in the giveaway? NOPE....not this time friends. See what I mean....I want everything for myself. But since it was not officially for the Giveaway....I get the pleasure of making it and showing it to everyone....but no touchie...sorry :(
If you would like to win one of the Just Pins pictured above please leave a comment on this post telling us why you would like to win them and where you plan to use them. You can also tell us which pins you would like to win if you like.
Smiles,
Kelly
PS...part of the edit....I can tell many of you are scanning the giveaways and not reading the posts...(you may just miss out on some fun....or the cue that you need to seek medical help, LOL) This giveaway is for the three sets of Just Pins....not the buttons or the sample Tea Pot Series. If you want your comment to qualify, each comment needs to be in response to the requested comment.

ReplyDeleteNot only do I collect buttons but I put them on EVERYTHING. I love a quilt with buttons (and other embellishments). I love the flower just pins. I can even see them on a quilt or a sweater or on my button shelf or .... I see them everywhere. Thanks for a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteIf I would be luck enough to win these adorable pins, I would gift them on to my best friend who is retiring this year after 39 years of teaching! I know she would put these to great use as she is so creative. The education world's loss is the quilt world's gain! Thank you.

ReplyDeleteThese pins are so cute! My favorite ones are the pretty blue flowers (?) in the sundae (?). Sorry, it's hard to see tell from the picture. However, the pins would be perfect for a pincushion I'm getting ready to make. It will be my first ribbon embroidery project.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say the Flower Poser buttons are the best! I would use them on a hat I'm making for myself for when I go out in the sun.
ReplyDeleteI just love the flower pins. How cute are they? I LOVE the buttons. I'm not sure what I would do with the pins. I might have to study the website to see what I would do with them besides collect them. But I love the flowers and I love the lemonade ones as well. How darling are these?

I love Just Buttons for embellishment, but I didn't know they had Just Pins, too!! Kelly you've done it again! The best source for the best notions, thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to have some of the bees and the flowers-after all we need bees to fertilize the flowers :) I have this big green velvet pumpkin that my mom gave me. I keep special pins and charms on it. So a few of those bees buzzing around or some flowers popping up here or there would be a great addition.
I love the bee buttons! So sweet and they would work perfectly in one of my CQ pieces. Congrats on one year!!
ReplyDeleteI plan to make a few very beautiful pin cushions to display around my home because sewing is my lifelong pasttime and also to give as gifts. The pins, and I love the whimsical look of them, are what I would need to top off my pin cushions. I like all three designs. Thanks for the chance to win them.

I love the bee pins! My sister has a navy blue dress with bees all over it and I'm always trying to get her to give it to me...it's a very elegant dress and you can't tell it is bussing with bees until you get up close...so bees in one of my many cushions would be a treat...since she is not giving up the Bee Dress...
ReplyDeleteWe have to choose just one. That is so not fair! Hmmm....the bees.
ReplyDeleteI would use the pins to be the pins on a new bulletin board. I want to piece a landscape in greens add batting and attach to cork and then add to a frame..I think I will have to applique some flowers to the landscape first!
ReplyDeleteThese pins are great
I like the flower pins. I would use them in a small art quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love these! The Flower Power ones are my favorite. They would be perfect for a spunky wall-hanging quilt. I'm thinking bright batiks! Thanks!
ReplyDeletemuskratholler at gmail dot com
I would love to win one of the Just Pins pictured on your blog...I have never seen them before, how cute!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
TerryM
I didn't even realize such beautiful pins existed! I'm thinking perhaps they would work well in a shadow box type of thing...Is that what they are still called, or is that a 1970's term? A 3-D scrapbook type of thing in a frame?
ReplyDeleteI had visited this website about a month ago...and drooled! If I win the pins, I will make some of the pincushions that I have seen featured on the site and then use them as the raffle prize in my quilt club. We are trying to earn enough money to plan some out of this world programs for next fall.
ReplyDeleteI adore the little flower ones - They are just lovely - I love anything flowery !! I am off now to check out the buttons - Aren't they gorgeous too?
ReplyDeleteOf course, the best medical advice would suggest to surround myself with items to cheer the soul. My favorite pincushion is the acorn (because the others just plain make me hungry). Between it and the bees pins, I could envision myself outside instead of my basement sewing area. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSarah
I've used some of their pins in my projects -- I love them. They really are just so cute. I've been making pincushions lately and it would be fun to make some particularly to go with -- wouldn't a little flowered or beehive style pin look cute with those bee pins? And, well, summer's a coming so the flowers are awfully tempting, too!
ReplyDeleteThose are ADORABLE!!!
ReplyDeleteI would have to make some cute woolen pin cushions to have the pins in. Definitely adorable and fun to see on my work table!
ReplyDeleteI would like to win one of the Just Pins wonderments. Our sewing area is "blah boring", and I would place them next to the machine for inspiration! My favorites are the flower power pins (we are gardeners too) and the just bees pins. So very cute! mlwright29 (at) hotmail (dot) com

ReplyDeleteI have seen this in photos but have yet to see where they come from (until now) These pins are adorable and would love any of them! A side note...those pin cushions are too cute too!
ReplyDeletekbsteuber at yahoo dot com
Great pins! I especially love the flower power set. They would liven up my pin cushion for sure. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love these pins. Especially the flower ones.
ReplyDeleteActually I would probably use them to send as little gifts along with some vintage doilies or handkerchiefs.
I think that would make a lovely present and an interesting way to attach the item to a card.
These are adorable...all of them, but espcially the bees. If I won these, I would just put them where I could see them often for a lengthy introductory spell, making a variety of plans for their use and enjoying the tactile and visual presence of them. Eventually I would be compelled to share them in a yet to be determined project. Oh, the joy of indecision.
ReplyDeletethe pins are so cute...love the flower power pins.
ReplyDeleteI would add to the pin cushion swap our quilt group is doing this year for the christmas gift swap.
i love those pins , they would be great embellishments on a quilt or in a special pincushion. thanks so much for the opportunity. I would like any flowers or school related pins. Actually i would take any of them thanks again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun giveaway. I think my favorite of the pins would be the little bees. I have some really cute fabric with sunflowers and bees that these pins would match perfectly with!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the carrots and the flowers so I could plant them in a little flower pot pin cushion! It would make me supremely happy to look at that every day!
ReplyDeleteThank You,
Kelley

ReplyDeletei would love to use these pins to make my pincushion pretty! the flower power pins are my favorite
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThose pins are gorgeous. If I win, I would probably use them in scrapbooking projects rather than in quilting. They would be great accents on pages. And which ones? hard to pick, but the bunnies and carrots would certainly embellish an easter page and the flowers would add great color to a page of the granddaughters. This is a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteluverlie@gmail.com
I collect buttons and these are so cute! I would love to win these!
ReplyDeleteMicki
Love the pins, they're so cute, if I win, I'd use them to embelish my tea cup pincushion, I know some of my quilting partners are going to turn green, hehehehe
ReplyDeleteI love the pins! I like the bee pins and would give them to a friend when I send along a pin cushion I'm making.
ReplyDeleteI love buttons, I even recycle them. BUT, I read the entire post and want the FLOWER POWER pins to use in a small art quilt. Yep, I want them for embellishments. `I love those flowers, quirky, fun, and something that will put a big smile on anyone's face.
ReplyDeleteOh my! Those pins are so darling!!! What would I do with them? I would keep them!!! I would put them in my own pincushion and look at them when I want to smile. They are adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kelly, for being willing to share these lovelies.
I have ordered buttons from just Another Button Company, and I love them all, they are all so cute, I love buttons and would really love to win those cute little pins. Thanks for your great giveaways Kelly!
ReplyDeleteI would have the pins stuck into my little Cardinal flower vase on the windowsill in my kitchen. I love to stand there and watch the birds, so usually have pretty things there also.
ReplyDeleteI would love the Just Pins for my windowsill flower vase.
ReplyDeleteI would use the flower pins to add a 3D effect to a "new home" refrigertor magnet I make with fabric and embellishments.
ReplyDeleteIf I win, please contact me at ski1402@verizon.net.
Cecile's creations really are "Pretty Darn Spanky Embellished Wonderments"!
ReplyDeleteI can see that each of her designs inspire lots of great ideas. I'm picturing the bees on a beehive pin cushion made by experimenting with felted wool roving.
A honey of a Day 27!
I love pins, and would be happy to receive any one of them - they would look adorable in my turtle pin cushion I just made. Thank you for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI make pin cushions and would love to use them in those.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the carrot patch set and I would go out and buy the cutest pin cushion and put it next to my sewing machine, so I can admire their beauty.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Wendy
