Famore Blog Hop - Seam Rip and Stiletto Review and Giveaway

Be Bop Zippity Dee Bop
My name is Hanna
it rhymes with IHANNA
Snip it
 you gotta zippity clip it
 and if you mess it
you gotta rip it
Be Bop Zippity Dee Bop

When those threads aren't a budgin'
you gotta start fudgin'
get up in yo ghetto and grab yo
Stiletto
Then ya start to watchin'
and you'll start seein'
those threads start runnin'
like you never seen dem run befoo

SOOOOO....I won't quit my day job I PROMISE!!!

See what talking about one of my favorite subjects does to me?  I get all zippity-clip-it and my body starts dancin' ....oh there I go again...someone smack me....OUCH....not that hard!!!
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Mr. Famore Cutlery Seam RippahThose unwanted stitches don't stand a chance with this baby.  No more pokin-in with the old style seam rips and trying to catch a thread....then every third or fourth thread...not any more.
Just look how beautiful the blade is....and baby oh baby it is sharp.

I know what you are thinking....and don't tell me you aren't because I've heard several people tell me they were afraid to use the Famore Seam Ripper because they thought they'd slice into themselves or cut their fabric.  As long as you are not psychotic, I don't think you will do either of those things.  I've never once cut myself with my seam rip.  I guess it is like being afraid of drowning in my cup of coffee in the morning.  Technically there is enough fluid in the cup to drown....however I have a healthy respect for that cup o joe :)

Remember my pretty Prairie Point....well....I've decided she is going to meet her demise.
I tucked the end of the seam ripper parallel to the fabric just inside the fold where the fabrics are joined.

Moving straight ahead and keeping the ripper parallel to the fabric I move the ripper through those threads and lickity split....look what you get....
I now pronounce those two pieces of fabric officially separated....just like that.  See...no blood :)

Many of you know I've started doing some machine embroidery.  I made this apron for my youngest co-worker for Christmas.  The problem was....I walked away and didn't see that the bobbin thread had come to the top and I had an entire sentence straight across the design that was not so pretty.  If you have ever done any ME you know that there is some crazy something that happens to the thread once stitched....it hangs on for dear life....no matter what.  Being the patient person I am (not) I sat and used my Famore Seam Rip to remove every last thread....and yes I also used their Micro Tip Tweezers (SewCalGal will review those on Friday) to pull out any tiny threads that would just not let go.  When I showed my tear out job to my girlfriend, Diane (years and years of ME experience) she was impressed and said she had not seen a tear out job that looked that nice.  Keep in mind, I have not washed the apron yet....I'm thinking that after it is washed it will look a whole lot better.

The Famore Seam Ripper comes with 3 blades....yes I said 3...and I've been using my seam rip for 3 years and still have one blade left to open :)   Oh yeah...it comes with a  safety cap too.
You twist the little screw on the side and slide the old blade off and a new one on and you are good to go again.

When you first see Mr. Geppetto Stiletto in the package he looks like he got into a fight and lost....
His head twists off (oh geez is that fun....to twist his head off....my dark side is showing once again...sorry...sort of) and you can see the Famore Stiletto has a built in safety jacket.

You turn the tip around and screw it back into the handle and you have a beautiful Famore Stiletto for your sewing needs :)

Sewing needs? If you don't have a Stiletto you may wonder what you do with one....and I will tell you....there are lots of things I use my Geppetto for.....

When I'm feeding fabric under the foot of my machine there are times when I want to hold the fabric on the front or close to the side to keep it going straight.  I know this picture isn't really the best example but you get the idea.
I use it when I'm feeding fabric into the tip of my Simplicity Bias Tape Maker tips...and it can be used for the Clover Bias Tape Maker tips too.
Ever have a tiny piece you are working on and you need to use one of those tiny burn your fingers off irons?  (I use my Kandi Handi Iron so I don't burn my fingers off any more)  You can use the Famore Stiletto to hold your fabric in place so the iron won't burn your fingers.
I also use Gheppeto for pulling out a few threads when I don't want to cut the threads.  You can see in this photo....I was able to slip Gepehetto under a thread and pull out just one thread.

Are you starting to get the idea that I think very highly of Famore Cutlery's products?    I do because for the money, I don't think you can find a better value....AND the best customer service and care out there....which is just as important to me...if not important than price.

For a chance to win a Famore Seam Ripper and a Famore Metal Safety Stiletto just leave a comment on this post telling me if you own any Famore products and what your thoughts are on the items you own.  If you don't own a Famore product....let me know why you want to replace your current tools with these fabulous Famore tools :)

You must be a IHAN blog follower and leave your comment by Sunday, January 15th because Mr. Random Number Generator will choose a winner and the winner will be announced on Monday, January 16th.

The Famore Blog Hop is going on all week and here are a list of the wonderful places you can visit for your chance to learn more about Famore Cutlery and hopefully win even more wonderful sewing and quilting tools.

Wednesday Jan. 11th – www.IHaveANotion.blogspot.com
Friday Jan. 13th – www.SewCalGal.blogspot.com

I wish you all the luck of the Irish this week...and speaking of the Irish...if you're still with me...
Did you notice the beautiful quilt that I used as a backdrop above?

Believe it or not, I received this beautiful wall hanging as a Christmas gift from dear blogging friend.  Not only was I totally and completely blown away by such an amazing gift of love....but it also reminded me of another dear blogging friend Micki, from Ireland.  Many of you will remember her blog, Irish Muses.  The blogging world has brought so many wonderful and loving people into my life....so when you are out hopping around....remember .... quilts provide warmth....and so do wonderful friends you will meet in your blogging journey....it's not about the prizes you will win....(although they are great) it is about the amazing and wonderful people behind the products and quilts you see and meet in your blog hopping journey.

Giant Smiles,
Kelly

  1. That really looks like a nice set of tools to have. I know when I have to seam rip my hexagons, I tend to loose my edges, really hard to get the thread out without ripping the fabric on small pieces.

What a beautiful piece from Micki and such a thoughtful thing to surprise you with.

  2. I have never used those tools but they sure look easy. I hate to rip! With these tools I'm sure it will be much easier.

  3. Excellent review Kelly. That seam ripper seams awesome. And the stiletto looks like a handy tool too! My stiletto is very old and much smaller. The Famore Stiletto looks to have a much more comfortable grip and better usability.
Both look like great products and I do so trust your opinion too!

  4. I don't own any of these tools. Actually have not even hear of them. Thanks for bringing them to everyones attention. Anything to help with ripping seams would be helpful to me!

  5. Nope, Kelly, I don't own any Famore products and don't think I've ever seen any, but you make the seam ripper sound like something I just have to have!

  6. I have never heard of this ripper/stiletto but you can be sure i will be on the lookout for one in Canada..Thanks for sharing. I am now a follower too! Thanks also for a chance to win one of these marvellous toys!

  7. I don't own any Famore products and never see it before. I always make mistake on sewing the seamless, so i think this is the tool i Must have.

  8. I do not own any Famore products - but really would like to. I would love a stiletto because I currently use a Kabob stick and it is wearing out and I could see the seam ripper being very important in cutting out embroidery stitches that had a mind of their own. THanks, Kelly for the opportunity. Judy C

  9. Thank you for the review (you are so fun!) I am lacking any Famore products but I love the look of this one and the battering shears and those little curved scissors. Thanks for hosting the hop!

  10. I don't own any Famore products but I could really use that seam ripper. Sometimes the un-sewing stops a project for awhile because it is just so tedious. Maybe my projects would get finished faster if I didn't put off the ripping. Great review.

  11. I do not have any Famore products... this is not a name that I am familiar with... not until today anyway. You have me convinced that they carry fantastic products, so I will keep my eye open for them next time that I am in the city. I am an IHAN follower.

  12. I do not own any Famore products - just getting started, I bought our local quilt shop's plain jane fabric scissors and seam ripper. I still think this fabulous seam ripper looks like a castrating knife... if it were to come to my house, I'd have to hide it from the husband so he wouldn't be tempted to use it in the barn!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I don't own any of those tools because...the only tool I've got is a seam riper that came with my sewing machine. I'd love to win sole of those wondeful tools.

    ReplyDelete
  14. You are so funny. You made me smile. I don't have any Famore tools but I would love to have the seam ripper. That thing looks wicked but very effective.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Never heard of Famore products before...where have they been hiding??!! I'd love to own both since I have a very old, and not so sharp anymore, seam ripper and don't own a stiletto! Thanks for the review and chance to win.

  16. I've never heard of FAMORE. But, I'm VERY glad that I've come to your blog this morning to find out about...the great tools you've shown. It would be great to add these tools to my "next-to-the-machine" drawer. I'm doing embroidery and the clips would be VERY helpful... I LUV using a stilleto...this one looks great!

  17. I'd love to win these tools! I already have a pair of scissors (the ones with the blue handles and 732 stamped on them) and they cut all fabrics (and almost anything else!) like a dream, so these two products can only be at least as good. By the way, I follow your blog on Google Reader (love it!) but haven't been able to figure out how to "follow" it. I tried signing up for the newsletter, but never received the confirmation email. :S Thanks for this giveaway!

  18. Yes I do own a pair of their little embroidery scissors and they are wonderful. I never have owned a stilleto and was wondering what all you could use them for thank you for the heads up.....

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh my Gosh!!!! These tools would make life so much easier. I use scissor for seam ripping cause all my seam ripper are broken and I can't tell you how many time I have sewed my fingers cause I was too close. Thanks Kelly

  20. I do not own any Famore products at the time. From the reviews I have been seeing this week, I believe Famore would be an excellent addition to my tools. Happy quilting.

  21. Wow both the sean ripper and the stiletto look great. My fingers are cross that Mr Random picks me.

  24. Did buy very pointy tweezers at the Fenmore booth a couple years ago at Paducah and love them. Would love to win the give away. Thanks for hosting it.

  25. Hi! I'm already a follower. I don't have any of these products, yet. I use the seam ripper that came with my sewing machine and I use it as a stilleto as well. It's been okay, but I don't think it's as sharp as it once was, so one of these would be a welcome addition to my sewing room. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Kelly, thank you for this awesome givaway! i do not currently own either of these products, bt sure would like to! I have an old fashioned seam ripper that isn't very sharp...so this one would be a HUGE improvement!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. What a cool ripper. I don't own any of their products, i just have a 3 dollar one from my lqs. I have a feeling this guy would be a huge improvement!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I do actually have a pair of da ore scissors that I ordered from Sharon Schambers website long ago. They are my favorite snips! Why oh why did it never occur to me to check out their website for such fabulous finds! Glad I found your fab bog now, too!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I don't own any Famore products, but I have drooled over their website. I would love the opportunity to slice my finger, umm unwanted stitches with these fancy tools. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't have any Famore products yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my number is drawn.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I do have 2 pairs of Famore scissors and they are great. I didn't know about their seam ripper or stiletto and would love to try them.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't own any Famore tools, but I would love to have these. The seam ripper would be great when I am paper piecing and have to take out the stitches. I wondered what you would use a stilleto for. :-) Thanks for the review and the giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I don't own any Famore Cutlery but now I want to own the seam ripper and the batting scissors! I want the seam ripper because it looks so much easier to use than the old style ripper and sharp too!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wow, I've been looking for a seam ripper like that for awhile - I'd love to win one instead of buying one! And that stiletto's a lot pointier than mine!

    Thanks for the chance!

    ReplyDelete
  35. My name in the hat... I'd love to win! Thank you so very much.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh I would love to win. My poor old seam ripper is blunt (I wonder why?) and my stiletto has gone AWOL.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I don't own any of these. These look like a weapon.....grin.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I do not own a Famore product but have read all the reviews so far and I am impressed. I would definitely replace my old scissors, etc. with Farmore products but winning would be even nicer :D. It will be nice to have sharp tools. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't have any Famore products but this blog hop has me wishing for some. I would love to try the seam ripper -- I frequently break the ones from the chain store so I figure they must have a design flaw! And I went to a quilter's demo event in December and they preached the value of using a stiletto. I haven't gotten one yet, but it's definitely on my list!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I do not own any Farmore tools - since leaving for university I had to leave all tools behind, there was no telling what was mine and was my mothers. So I started with getting my own scissors and needles and thread and soon a sewing machine. I would love to replace my Swiss pocket knife with a real seam ripper.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I would like the seam ripper because I usually use a small rotary cutter to cut through the threads, but the Famore one seems so much less awkward. I have another brand of stiletto, and, while it is useful, the point wabbles a bit. The Famore stiletto looks very nice. Hope I win! Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Actually, this week was first week I have heard about Famore products. This looks like an amazing tool. I see myself using the ripper and stilletto (I have to admit I mess up often!)

    ReplyDelete
  43. I have Famore envy, big time! I have gone through about 5 seam rippers in the last year and the only stilettos I own go on my feet. BTW, loved your opening ditty.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Every year at Paducah quilt show I head straight to the Fanmore booth. Their scissors are the best. Not that the scissors need replacing every year, mine seem to become presents at workshops whenever anyone uses a pair for the first time.

    ReplyDelete
  45. i have fanmore batting scissors and love them to pieces. have looked at this seam ripper before, and seeing your pix now, using it, i have no doubts now that it would be easier to use than my old seam rippers. i would be very happy to win your fanmore set! thanx for the opportunity to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Well, I want these! I need both of them badly! I have one stiletto and I need another one for my other sewing area so I don't have to remember to take it from room to room. They are great things to have and much better than wooden ones. As for the seam ripper, Oh yes, a definite must have. Would love to win them! Thanks for the opportunity!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I have never heard of Fanmore and feel like I am missing something. I am really looking forward to finding that seem ripper and trying it out!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I don't currently own any Famore products, but these look great. I'd love to win! The background quilt is beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  49. The other day was the first I heard of Famore but I am impressed. The seam ripper has become my best friend and I am always on the lookout for a better one!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I have not heard of the Fanmore before, but as much as it seems that I rip out, I would love to give it a try.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I don't own any products by this company but they sound like they're good things. My favorite seam ripper has been one by CLover, but I keep breaking the tip, so maybe this one is lots better.......

    ReplyDelete
  52. I am a follower. I don't actually have a stiletto but I'd love one. And I love that seam ripper. It looks way better than the tiny little thing that came with my machine (which doesn't cut very well!)

    ReplyDelete
  53. I have one pair of Famore scissors, but I'd love to try out their seam ripper. Heavens knows I need a good one! I just spent as much time frogging today as I did sewing!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I've never heard of the Famore scissors and would so like to have them. I am currently using $2 scissors at my sewing machine from a local store, and I say a lot of bad words when I try to cut my threads! The stiletto looks like a great asset too. Hope I win!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Yes, I have a few Famore scissors- the ones with purple handles that I got at Market. LOVE them dearly!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I have only heard of Famore on your site here since I became a follower. Maybe their products are not available in Canada? That seam ripper looks wonderful and I certainly need to use one on occasion. Thanks for the chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I don't have any Famore products, but both the ripper and stilleto sound great. Thanks for the chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I have never tried Famore products but those tools look really neat and easy to use and yes sharp. I think I would become a good friend with the seam ripper. Thankyou for telling us about them.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I don't own any Famore products yet (our LQS closed), but I really love that stilleto. I use one all the time and I'm currently using wooden chop sticks that the tip breaks off just when you need it. Their tools are really designed well: take apart stilleto and removeable blade. Your wallhanging is lovely.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Not using any Fanmore stuff yet....Waiting patiently for Mr. RNG to pick me! The stuff I use is well, ancient.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I don't have any Famore tools yet - but surely do like the ripper. My ripper is the old fashioned kind where you have to manage to get the pointed end stuck into the stitch and let me say - somedays my vision is better than others. I have made some repairs to my ripping with my handy dandy fray-check :)
I think we should dub the ripper with a new name
THE SEAM REAPER (like the Grim Reaper - for stitches)
And - who out there has not yet sewn your finger? I have - and so I could put the stiletto to good use too.
Thank you for the chance to win.
    Cathy Byrd

  62. Nope--- I don't have any Farmore tools... but surely would love to! :-) My old seam ripper is just an el-cheapo model-- nothing special--- nothing like the Mr. Farmore Cutlery Seam Rippah! Cool lookin' tool! :-) And since I don't own a stilleto, I have to admit that my el-cheapo stitch ripper has to do double duty and serve as a make-shift stilleto! Poor thing! ;-) Thank you for the chance to win! And what a gorgeous wall-hanging --- beautiful!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I don't own a stiletto and I want that one. It looks fabulous! And the seam ripper too... not to put it in second place but it is compared to the stiletto! And no I don't own any Fanmore tools. Feel sorry for me okay? :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Oooh they look awesome!! I don't have any Famore Cutlery products (something I will have to rectify!), but there is nothing worse than trying to do something with inferior tools, so I would really love to get some Famore quality into my sewing toolkit!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I do not currently own any Famore Cutlery, but after participating in this blog hop, I realize I am missing out! I think the seam ripper would be very useful for me. I have had to spend too much time using my traditional seam ripper and this one appears to make the process much smoother and lest frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I make a lot of mistakes! so seam rippers would be very helpful, thanks for the information.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I don't own any Famore Cutlery but they look great. If I'm not the lucky winner I will have to do some shopping.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Both the ripper and stilleto sound great. Thanks for the chance to win.
    Happy Quilting Liz

  69. Hi Kelly thanks again for a great giveaway. I don't own any of these products because they are not available where I live, so would love to win this. It looks very much like the scalpel my instrment fitter husband uses. A great idea to run the picker under the seams. I will be giving that a go. kind regards Sam

  70. I unfortunately do not have this tool. Here in Hungary you can not buy ..
I want to win. Thanks for playing!

  71. These tools look very interesting to try. Thanks for the chance to try them.

    ReplyDelete
  72. These look really great! I don't own any and in fact I've never heard of them!!
Can I join in from the UK??
    I'm a follower!

    ReplyDelete
  73. There's several lovely things to choose from in Famore Cutlery! The spring-action scissor snips look fun. The demo of the seam ripper and stiletto make me want them too!

    ReplyDelete
  74. I have not heard of this brand before. You are giving them a ringing endorsement. Would love to win, to give them a try.

    ReplyDelete
  75. You can't have enough seam rippers. I love to rip outside and hope the birds find all the treads.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I have never heard of this brand so I would love to give them a try.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Both tools look amazing. I have only recently heard of this brand so I am intrigued. Thanks for a chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I have not tried any of their products, but after your post, I sure would like to give them a go. I've always wanted to try that type of seam ripper, but I try to trick myself into believing that I won't have a need for a seam ripper - everything will be sewn just perfectly! (Hey...a girl can always dream, right?)

    ReplyDelete
  79. I don't own this brand, but my tired old seam ripper would be thrown out in a hot minute should I win! Thanks for the giveaway chance!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I don't own any Famore products. But the stiletto would be perfect. I'm always using my seam ripper to do those jobs, but it just isn't quite shaped right. And I'd love to have a sharper blade on my seam ripper like that. Thanks for a chance to win! :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. That seam ripper always intimidated me but seeing your examples of how to USE it....hmmmm not so bad after all!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I do have a tiny. tiny pair of scissors. I use them to trim up my dh's hair above his ears, and also groom his nose hairs! They are very handy, and also for trimming threads from a quilt back! I love the looks of the seam ripper and stiletto!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I don't have any Famore products but after reading all the reviews so far, I would be very interested in having some. That is one powerful looking little seam ripper. No fooling around with that one, it means business! Please enter me in for the drawing, thank you so much. :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. You are so much fun ... I so enjoy reading your posts! I do have a pair of Famore small shears. They are *wonderful*!! I'd love, love to have an awesome seam ripper like theirs, too!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  85. I am currently using a chop stick from a take out restaurant as my stiletto. Would love this beautiful set.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Oh please, enter me in the drawing, I'd love to own the Famore Seam Ripper set, just because I'm the Seam Ripper Queen and I have to break my records in that, lol

  87. Some of the pieces I have seen so far look so handi. I have never seen a stiletto, or the batting scissors. I had not heard of Famore before, so I am excited to try them. Thank you for entering me in your giveaway, I am a follower and love your blog!

Comment: Ever since we saw Eleanor Burns adeptly use a stiletto on her TV shows, my mother and I have discussed getting one. We have looked for a stiletto yet couldn't find one at JoAnn's or Wal-Mart. Famore has to work far better than the orange sticks we currently use.

  99. I'm new to the Faremore brand. I don't have a stiletto and would love to add it to my tools. To be honest, the seam ripper does scare me a bit - I'd be afraid of cutting myself probably more than anything else - I'm a bit of a klutz at times. lol! thanks for sharing your review!

    ReplyDelete
  100. I love my seam ripper. I do need a new one as I've had this since they came out, I think. The blade is getting old and I keep forgeting to get a new one. I don't have the stilleto and would love to add this

  103. Wow! These look like great tools! I've never tried that type of seam ripper...I've always been intimidated, but you make it look easy! I've never heard of this brand before either, but am definitely going to give them a try!

  104. The only seam ripper I own is from my old sewing box. I've been thinking about buying a better one and just saw your post on the Famore seam ripper and stiletto. Perhaps I'll win one and be able to try it!!

  105. What a great blog posting! Those tools look scary ... but wonderfully scary! Thanks for the giveaway!

  106. I don't own any Famore tools, but I would sure love to be a new owner of that seam ripper. Every time I buy myself a new one, I end up losing it and using my old, dull ones. I rip a lot and this would sure cut down on ripping time.

  107. I don't own any Famore tools - I actually never heard of them until this blog hop! I use the seam ripper that came with my sewing machine years ago. It used to be sharp, but now... it does more pulling than cutting. I love the design of the Famore seam ripper - it looks like it would be so easy to use and the ability to put in a fresh blade sounds like a dream. I've never used a stiletto - but it would probably help me sew a straighter seam at the beginning and end of a line. Great tools!

  108. Wow - that IS a beautiful wall hanging! Lucky you!

I'm still using the same seam ripper I got when I took Home Ec in junior high. Boy, is it dull! I don't own any Fanmore, but I think I could use that seam ripper.

  109. I have this seam ripper and absoutely LOVE it. I don't use any other kind at all. I don't have this stiletto however. I really like the way this one looks though. I bought one recently and won't mention the name but I really do not like it because it's more flexible than I feel it should be. Plus it's thick and uncomfortable to hold onto. I like that this one is slim and metal.

  110. Thanks for the demo of these tools! I would be afraid of the seam ripper but if you say it works, I would love to try it! And how many burned fingers would I save with that stiletto? Fingers crossed.

  111. I don't own any IHAN notions. My notion dept. is very dismal. I pick out threads with an upholstery pin and use
the sad seam ripper than came w/my sewing machine. Wish I had a stiletto so I wouldn't sew into my index finger (it has several white spots inbedded). I am disabled and after buying fabric there isn't anything left for notions.

  112. No, I do not own any Famore items. These posts have introduced me to the brand; thanks. I would love to say I have no need of a seam rippah but... AND, I love stilettos - no not the shoe but the sewing notion. :)

  113. That seam ripper looks like a surgical tool. I'm using my Grandmother's seam ripper which came with her machine. I guess I need a new seam ripper. I love that you can tuck the stiletto into itself. I have lost the clear cover of mine several times. :(

  114. I have never heard of the Famore brand, but boy oh boy does it look great! I REALLY need a new seam ripper mine is so dull. I guess I've used it too much! :-) (I'm following you know too)

  115. I don't own any Famore products, and as a new quilter I'm finding out how important really good tools are. These would be great additions to my toolkit.

  116. I have never used any of the Famore products but from what I have read this week I sure wish I did ,this seam ripper seems like a dream come true , I usually resort to my rotary cutter , oh I know it is dangerous but my seam ripper is so dull.I am a follower of IHAN . and will soon be a follower here as soon as I post this .Thanks for the chance to win.

  119. I love new notions. Thanks for showing how to use the blade. Great tip on the stiletto, to. Love the rap and your nicknames for your tools!

  120. I do not have any Famore products but I think that is going to change. That seam ripper looks divine, I use seam rippers a lot and they can very quickly become dull. I do have a lovely old Stiletto with a very sharp point right next to my machine that I use daily.
Thanks for the chance to win that beautiful seam ripper.

    Happy sewing

  124. Just became a follower. Until the Famore Blog Hop, I was unaware of the company and its products.

  125. I am a follower and love useful these tools look, thanks.

  126. I also was unaware of the company but will now be following your blog and will research where I can purchase locally.
I dislike my old seam ripper, have ended up cutting fabric threads instead of the actual thread I want to remove. Possibly due to failing eyesight (aging).
Would love a chance to win both tools and try them out.

  127. I follow and I could really really use a new stiletto, that one looks better than the brass one I have that the top keeps falling off of.

  128. Wow, what neat tools! Have read here before, so I guess I'm a follower, haha, but this is my first post on your blog. Could sure use these, my old ripper is well past its better days, and I've never been lucky enough to own a stiletto, can sure see how it would be a big help with my garment and quilt making ventures. Thanks from Rosie

  133. I don't have any Fanmore tools and that seam ripper makes mine look cheap and plasticy (which it is). Thanks for the giveaway and the review.

  134. I've always wondered if I would use a stiletto, seeing your demo makes me think~ I will wonder how I got along with out it! I need that tool! LOL Thanks for the fun!

  135. I do not own any Famore products. Actually this is the first time (blog hop) that I've heard of this company. I'm not sure how I haven't heard of them. All the products look wonderful. I'm going to look for the seam ripper for sure. Nothing worse than having to take out stitches at least you want a tool that does the job, cutting your threads and not poking holes in your fabric.

Thank you and Famore for a great giveaway and a chance to win.

  136. Just when I thought I was aware of all the great tools out there, you bring us Famore! I have none of their products, and since I just began machine embroidery, I would adore me some Famore.
