Winner!

The owner of this beautiful pin cushion is Patsy Thompson, from Patsy Thompson Designs.  She was at the Kaleidoscope of Quilts and I took the opportunity to snap a photo of her beautiful pincushion.  What I would have really liked to do was kidnap her pincushion and hold it for ransom....but I just didn't have the courage to do the napping.

The winner is Debbie (debbiesther@xxxx.com)!  Congratulations Debbie.  Bet you are wondering what you win?  How about a $15.00 gift certificate to I Have A Notion®?  How would you like that?

I apologize for the delay in writing this post.  I was invited to a friends lake house for a few days and I just could not pass up the opportunity :)

 Smiles,
Kelly

Announcing the Winner of the Anita Goodesign Special Edition Software

I hope all of you had fun and learned as much as I did, if not more, from the IHAN® Embroidery Blog Hop sponsored by Anita Goodesign.  One of the repetitive comments that I heard from all the participants of this blog hop was,  how pleased they were with the well written instructions that are included in the Anita Goodesign collections.  The illustrations made it possible for me to make this angel without any troubles at all.  If you want excellence in your embroidery designs, I highly recommend the designs offered by Anita Goodesigns available at IHAN® .

There were so many highlights to this blog hop.  I'll start at the beginning, just in case you missed some of them.
1.  SewCalGal gave lots of excellent ME (machine embroidery) tips on day 1.  She has so much more experience than I do and I always learn things from her.  On day 5, SewCalGal offered more tips on using desgins and showed us the beautiful kitchen towels she made using Rachel's Recipes.

  2.  I also had a big "ah ha" moment when I saw Sew Cindy's post. She is doing the string piecing with left over fabrics and then adding some ME designs.  The Coffee design collection is perfect for making mug rugs (I secretly want to have those coffee mugs on the outside of a pair of mittens too...lol)  I really like her idea for a fast gift that isn't too expensive.  She also pointed out how she uses her "hera marker" and I have one but don't use it nearly as often as I could...so thanks Sew Cindy for the reminder :)

 3.  All Things Crafty blog went all out explaining how she made quilt labels with her Anita Goodesign Quilt Label Designs.  Definitely an excellent tutorial!  There is no excuse for not labeling anything now!  LOL :)

4.  Marjorie gave me re-newed hope that I too would one day own a finished Baltimore Album Quilt.  I am in love with her quilt and want one for myself.  Marjorie is a digitizer and has a great deal of experience so I also recommend you checking out her designs HERE.

5. Margaret, the not so average quilter, just blew my socks off with the Anita Goodesign Roosters.  Not only was I absolutely in love with the dish towels she had made, but I was bowled over by the wall hanging she made.  How can she call her blog, "The Average Quilter"....I just don't get that at all.  I vote we but a circle with a line through it over the word "Average" in her blog title.
 .
 6.  Cheeky Cognoscenti gave a most informative review of the software and went out of her way to make sure everyone could understand what she was doing.  EXCELLENT JOB!  I have to say,  I began to look at my curtains in a whole new light after seeing her tutorial on using Fantasy Birds as valances (see above)

 7.  Naturally Gene Black an Alabama Artist and Quilter,  gave another wonderful review and included tips I would have never thought of....I guess it is his artistic brain that offers such flexibility and interesting ideas.  Gene used Asian Quilt design to make a beautiful wall hanging for his cubicle at work.

And without any further ado....the winner from the IHAN® blog is:

Congratulations beaquilter!!!!

Please send me an e-mail with your full name, address and phone number along with the Special Edition Design Collection you would like from Anita Goodesign.

The winner is: Congratulations Quiltin Cntrygrl!!!

Winner of IHAN's Beam N Read Light

This has been a very fun week hoping around reading all the comments that have been left by those who are interested in having a Beam N Read 6LED Hands Free Light.  Unfortunately I was forced to get up before the birds this morning to pack for our trip to PA...back to the cabin and yes I have my Beam N Read packed as there is no electricity there :)

Oh I ramble...keeping the suspense going....hard to type as I'm not even awake....is this a dream?  Oh...I'm rambling again....silly me :)

The winner of the IHAN Beam N Read 6 LED Hands Free Light is :

JCnNC.  Congratulations JCnNC :)

Please e-mail me at IHaveANotion@yahoo.com with your full name and the mailing address of your choice.

But Wait....don't go away sad if you didn't win....I've decided to offer free shipping in the US (discount outside the US)  to those of you who would like to order a Beam N Read Light....or several Beam N Read Lights :)  In order to have free shipping you must e-mail your order to me and not enter it through the website.  Please send all e-mail to IHaveANotion@yahoo.com.

I hope you have all had a great time reading the blog posts for the Beam N Read Lights this past week.  I know I sure did.  I think the best part for me was hearing 9 other women talk about a product I had already reviewed here at the IHAN blog.  The main focus of my job is to give an accurate review for a product and sometimes I wonder if people are thinking I'm just saying what I'm saying to "sell" a product.  Here is proof that I tell like it is and I would never give a positive  review for a product just to "sell" it ....at the same time I do sell many of the notions I review.  I could not afford to purchase every notion I reviewed without having an income to cover those expenses.  Just thought ya might want to know :)

Have a wonderful 4th of July!!  If you are new to the IHAN blog....you might want to stick around...one of my favorite things to do is give away excellent products ...like  books, patterns, notions and oh yes I also like to share my strange perspective on life too :)

Smiles,
Kelly
PS...I moved the Kate Spain fabric so there is no need to come for a bowl of cereal anytime soon....I"m really good at hiding my coveted stash...cuz you know there could be thieving quilters lurking about....LOL

If I missed saying anything else important this morning...I'll come back and edit later...for now...I have Mr. McSteamy on my keester wanting to get on the road...I think I'll pack my spray....if you know what I mean!
