Fall Business Women Online Expo - Booth # 20

Welcome to the Fall Business Women Online Expo
Booth #20.

Welcome to I Have A Notion blog. I sell sewing, quilting and needle art supplies to the thrifty shopper. Weather you are a seasoned stitcher or new to the needle arts and quilting, I can help you with the notions you will need.

My name is Kelly Jackson and I work from home. The best part of my job is this blog. My goal here is to inspire others to continue with their arts and crafts and educate people about the necessary supplies. Ever waste money on something you thought looked great.....but then it did not work so great? That's my job, to troubleshoot and test the new products and notions on the market and share my opinion and experience.

Meeting the fabric designers, pattern designers, company representatives and authors of the books I sell is another fun part of my job. I get to meet with people like Nancy Zieman, Alex Anderson, Eleanor Burns, Edyta Sitar and Amy Butler just to name a few.

Feel free to look around my blog and store, I Have A Notion . If you leave a comment on at least one blog post you have read on this blog and two products in my store that you would like to own, I will put your name in a drawing for a set of Bag Tags. If you don't win and would like to make some great gifts....click here....for the MJE Bag Tag Tutorial :)

Only those comments with e-mail addresses attached will be qualified for the drawing. The winner will be announced on Monday.

Thank you for visiting....you are welcome to come back anytime for a visit. I love meeting new people and being inspired by new ideas and projects.

Click on this button to get back to the Expo!!! Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy!!!

Smiles, Kelly.....After going back to the Business Expo....come on back and click on the button below....you can enter to win those prizes too!!! There are some very talented women out here :)

  1. You always inspire me! As I was "walking" thru the store the 500 piece Olfa blades caught my eye! Has anyone ever bought that many blades? But I did order the pattern for the Humbug Bag. I can't wait to make that. Your prices are the best.

  2. Hey Kelly, well you know my "wish" list is growing in your online store. I am waiting for Alex's tool, for one. And I'd love to have the EQ. Plus the super duper thimble. I could go on, but you said only two ;-)

  3. I forgot to mention my wish list when I commented on your blog. Here goes....wooden ruler rack, best press, binding thingy or binding tool 1/8", pigma pen set-color. Wm Morris Applique, Sizzling Circles pattern, I'm sure I can find more as I love shopping just like any other quilter. PS...If Priscilla comments and gives you ideas please pass them on to me. THANKS....Linda

  8. Hi Kelly,

For some reason, you links to your shop aren't working - I am getting a 404! I used to sew a lot when I was younger, mainly my own designs. I've had to pare down all the things I do now, especially as my main art forms are fine art (painting and drawing) and bead weaving. I want to get into fabric design though since my whole life I have had fabric desings dancing in my head.

It certainly does sound like you have the best job ever so congratulations!

Please come visit my booth (number 25) and say "hi!"

  10. I love your shop! I spent so much time looking at the books, and especially love the Fabric Postcards book! I have a thing for scissors, so your little Fleurs De Lis are on my wish list (and the pink set too!), as are those pigma micron pens - I can never have enough pens!
I'm not sure if my email will show up for you so I'll include it here: ennadoolf [at] gmail [dot] com and I'm booth 22

  11. Hi Kelly..great posts! Thanks for participating in the Expo this weekend..I can't sew a lick!, but I've always wanted to make a quilt. I have one that my grandmother made over 70 years ago, and I love it..it's so warm. Looking forward to learning more about you and your business. I have several friends who do sew, quilt, stitch and I'll forward your info along. Oh, and I like the book on making postcards from fabric...pretty cool!

    Glad I found it.

  17. Great stuff! I do some sewing but mostly I make jewelry. Many of these items can cross sell into jewelry making supplies.
I like the Handy Caddy Clear and the Bobbin holder. Great ideas.

    Thanks for sharing,
    Laurie
