I know some of you may be thinking, why give us a basket on Easter, right? Oh don't pretend that did not fly through your mind.....I know....I've done it myself. But, I also know that if we had done the drawing last week that everyone would have missed another 12 days of giveaways. Who would want to miss that ? Not me :) Besides, if you are like me, you "think" you'll get to that project fast......but your stack of UFO's are probably as big as mine...LOL.
Since it is Easter and I want to go have some dinner with my family here in Ore-Land-Oh I'm going to end with a quick piece of information I found very cool. Dr. Bob from Superior Threads has written a book and you know if he teaches classes on Threadology that this book must be a good one.
The School of Threadology Book contains over 90 pages of educational information condensed from 10 years of Bob's research and newsletter education. This is the book used in our School of Threadology. Reference Guides are also included. Worth $10,000. But the only price Dr. Bob is charging his friends is 19.95....good for us :)

Computer problems must be going around, my computer crashed at work...at least we have a tech that can do the trick to fix it I hope:) I would love to try some texture magic out on a basket. A basket would come in handy for all my fabric scraps I am organizing for scrap quilts, yes I am getting all those little fragments of fabric in order so they will become quilts. A girl can dream right:) Dr. Bob's book sounds fascinating I would love to learn $10,000 worth of knowledge on thread, so much to learn, so little time. Thanks Kelly! Jenna Lousie
ReplyDeleteOh, my...so many ideas...a basket to hold Christmas cards as they arrive here....a basket to hold Halloween treats.....a basket made of sewing-themed fabric that could hold spools of thread........I'm sure I could make good use of that book!!!

It would also be a great basket to carry all my winnings (hopefully) from IHANs 30 days of giveaways.

ReplyDeleteI think I would make a basket to fill with some sort of goodies and take to an assisted living facility for my mom or a friend in a different facility. Not breakable? Good to store things in? That makes sense.

ReplyDeleteI suppose I would have to make a hand basket. I have been told I am going some place specific in one, so I might as well make my own and be comfy in it.(Design note; probably want an insul-bright lining & a water bottle holder in there....)

ReplyDeleteI just love the Bolsa Texturizaday Accesorios patterns. I have never made a basket but I am a big basket collector and I would love to give it a try. Maybe a basket for my bathroom to hold my face creams (being nice here, they are really wrinkle creams but I still got the wrinkles)

ReplyDeleteI just saw a sample of Texture magic at my LQS. They made a glasses cozy out of it so I think we could 'one up' that by making a basket out of it! I'd like a basket to keep my hand embroidery nearby while simultaneously adding to the decor of the room!

I would make a few differant baskets. First- a "sewing basket" (for my four-year-old). Second- "scrap basket". Third- "gift baskets".

ReplyDeleteI need a basket to keep all my tools together when I sew in the living room. Right now, everything is on the windowsill or pushed to the back of the side table where grandson can't reach...yet! Need a quick pickup basket to get it out of his reach!

I would make a basket where the handles can be put down on the sides. I bring wicker baskets of projects around with me and would love a soft one with pockets and movable handles. The very first time I saw texture magic was Annie had it on her blog. She was at a seminar and showed what can be done with it. After seeing all the wonderful things to make with it, I would now like to try it with handbag. Looking forward to your generous giveaway. Blessings, Janet

ReplyDeleteA Superior thank you to Dr. Bob and Annie, too! I think it would be fun to make a basket and embellish it with a Texture Magic sunflower experiment. I think if I sew the fabric for the sunflower head in a spiral it will Texture Magic-ally turn into sunflower seeds!

I would like to make baskets for my quilting room to store fabrics, notions, patterns, etc. Attractive organization...wow! The texture magic would be fun to try on bags and purses. Thanks to Annie, Dr Bob and IHAN for the giveaways. I have learned many things. Glad I stumbled upon this site.
